3rd International Exhibition
for Traffic Management and
Highways Operation
27 – 29 April 2015
VDNKh All-Russia Exhibition Centre, Moscow, Russia
Expotraffic 2015
– showcasing the latest in
road traffic management
technology
The third Expotraffic exhibition in Russia will feature the technologies,
equipment and expertise needed to make highways more efficient
and safer.
With the Federation’s roads network developing to meet the demands
of economic growth and a fast-rising vehicle ownership, the latest
technologies for traffic management will play an increasingly important
role. Construction of new roads and improvements to the existing network
present further valuable opportunities for companies active in this market.
Expotraffic offers an unequalled marketing opportunity for suppliers
in four key sectors:
• Road traffic management
• Road safety
• Highways operation and maintenance
• Parking
The exhibition will enable companies in this key sector to meet
visiting professionals from the many agencies and authorities
responsible for highways development, operation and safety.
We look forward to welcoming you to Expotraffic 2015 in Moscow!
Why exhibit at Expotraffic 2015?
Like Russia itself, the country’s highways network is
massive – in 2012 the system totalled 928,000 km.
This figure includes more than 50,000 km of federal
highways, plus nearly half a million km of regional
public roads.
However, development of the network has not kept
pace with growth in traffic in terms of either its length
or capacity, and an extensive new road construction
programme is planned under the federal government’s
transport strategy. Up to 2020 a target has been set to
build 18,000 km of federal expressways and 7,000 km
of regional roads.
Toll highways are playing an increasingly important
role in the strategy, and in 2013 plans were unveiled to
introduce a payment system applicable to all vehicles
over 12 tonnes using federal highways. In addition, by
2020 some 1,500 km of public toll roads are expected
to be in operation and this figure is expected to rise to
9,000 km by 2030.
In major cities modern traffic management technology
is being used to tackle congestion, including provision
of dedicated bus lanes and public transport priority
schemes at intersections. Steps are also being
taken to improve road safety, and automated parking
systems are being introduced more widely.

Expotraffic – a
continuing success story
Expotraffic 2015 will build on the great
success of two previous Moscow events.
Senior decision-makers and transport
specialists from 13 countries and 58
cities in Russia and the CIS visited the
last Expotraffic show in May 2014.
While Russian companies
predominated in the exhibition,
manufacturers from 13 other
countries including Belgium, France,
Germany, Hungary, Poland, the UK
and the USA also took part, among
them some of the leading specialists
in traffic management technology,
products and research. Expotraffic
exhibitors confirmed that the show
was successful for them, with 90% of
companies taking part having achieved
their aims fully or in part and 70%
received positive business enquiries.
A highlight was the stand of the
Department of Transport and
Development of Road Transport
Infrastructure of the Government
of Moscow, which also featured the
Centre for Traffic Management of the
City of Moscow and the Administration
of Moscow Parking Space.
