Champlain Ultimate Transition Experience
Tuesday, June 29–Friday, July 2
Not sure what you need to do to prepare for college? Let us help you…with the ultimate summer transition
experience! This program will allow you to experience all aspects of college so you know what to expect when
you arrive in the fall. You will spend three nights living the complete residential experience. Part of your days
will be filled with a mix of skills-building classes, such as learning time management and organization, and
exploring all of the resources available to you on campus and in the community. The rest of your days will
be spent participating in fun activities both on campus and in the community, allowing you to build social
connections that will continue to grow when you return in the fall. Hiking, taking the Champlain Ferry across
beautiful Lake Champlain, eating Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and Cabot cheese, and many other activities will be
part of your ultimate transition experience!
Women’s Empowerment at Champlain
Friday, July 9–Sunday, July 11
Join a group of women at the start of their personal and professional journey here at Champlain College.
Together we will explore issues that are unique to women. We will take a self defense class, learn the ropes of
being safe in Burlington and at college as a woman, learn about the power that is unique to women, and how
stay healthy—physically and emotionally—as you move through your first year of college. You will leave this
weekend inspired and ready to jump into all that Champlain and Burlington have to offer!
“The education and empowerment of women throughout the world cannot fail to result in a more caring,
tolerant, just and peaceful life for all.” - Aung San Suu Kyi, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, leader of Burma’s
democracy movement
