The Cast net in general
Cast net has been around for thousands of years. The old cast nets were made of
cotton or some vegetable fibers, and then it was replaced by manmade material or
people so called “synthetic fibers”, (mainly nylon and nylon monofilament with poly
ropes). Lead weights and what we first created metal cover with the plastic weights (so
called environmental weights) are largely used on cast nets until this day.
Two Types of Cast Nets
There are two types of cast nets are used in today’s world, one is called American style
and another called the pocket style, both of them are used for catching baits, and the
bait sizes will be related with the net mesh sizes to work out.

the closed mesh allows the net to spread to it’s entire diameter. As the superb
