Homeless Services Site Evaluation Commission Seeks Public Input: The City is hosting an open house to gather public
input on the commission’s draft community values and commitments, as well as input on options for facilities serving
the homeless. Wed, April 29, from 6-8 pm at City Hall. Also, coming soon to Open City Hall for online comment. 4/13
Protecting the City Water Supply: Mayor Ralph Becker is working to protect the City’s water supply in the face of
another year of below average snow levels and spring run-off by declaring a Stage 1 Advisory which calls for water

Station Center Redevelopment Project Announced: The RDA’s new “Station Center” project located in the Depot
District is envisioned to become the City’s premier mixed-use urban neighborhood with retail, commercial and

Eccles Theater Update: The theater’s logo and one of its first shows was announced in a press conference with Mayor

City Earns #1 National Ranking in Jobs: A Gallup report named Salt Lake City the country’s top job creating city. Forbes

Google Fiber Announcement: Mayor Becker joined Google Fiber in announcing Salt Lake City has been picked to receive
