Your Host
Hi Everyone, hope your all well. Autumn 2014 & Spring 2015 has seen us
play some great courses and stay at some lovely venues. I have enjoyed
meeting you all and having the opportunity to play golf on some fabulous
courses. This season promises to be even greater with the news Fairway
Golf Group will host The Inaugural Algarve Championship (April 2016) in
partnership with my sister company Southport Coast Links Championship.
Along with this we have some great venues and courses to play for Autumn
2015 & Spring 2016. I really hope you can join this season for some great
fun, fantastic company, and maybe some good golf.
All Welcome
Whether you’re a Club Member, Society golfer, competitive or not, there is
something for everyone, all you have to do is show up and play golf with the
sun on your back at some of the Algarve’s finest courses.
You are staying in great locations and we do all the organising for you to
relax & enjoy your holiday, and hopefully enjoy your golf and make some
lasting friendships.
Competitions
The competitions are all Stableford based with individual cards, pairs and
team events. The groups are made up of friends, couples and single golfers
who all enjoy mixing it up over the week. The Welcome Night gives everyone
the opportunity to meet and greet in a relaxed manner with welcome drinks
followed by a three course meal (with wine included!) The Gala Presentation
Dinner on the last night follows the same pattern with a three course ‘A La
Carte’ menu and prizes.
The competitions are very friendly (but can be competitive for some!) with
your host Sean Coyle being with you all week to ensure that all runs smooth
both on and off the course. Events are run to society rules and you may not
end the week with the handicap you started with.
Fairway Golf Group Holidays are renowned for their excellent organisation
of golfing weeks & for playing at the best courses that the Algarve has to

The Venues
The three venues featured for this season are a mix of client’s favourites
and new & exciting locations. Each hotel chosen are located in a superb
location for each of the courses. The hotel’s offers an excellent choice of
restaurant, pool and beach location, ideal for when you return from a long
day on the golf course. Allowing you to relax, unwind and be refreshed for
the evening ahead.

Vila Gale Albacora (Tavira)
This hotel in Tavira, is a true eco-hotel that has received awards and recognition for its sustainable environmental practices
and where the activities related to nature tourism is a major strength. The hotel has a bar, a restaurant with typical cuisine and
Algarve specialties that favours local products and a spa with indoor pool, sauna, Turkish bath and massage rooms. The hotel
offers free Wi-Fi access in all areas. Through a pier at the hotel you can take the boat to the beaches on the island of Tavira.
The Barril beach with access via a picturesque tourist train and boat trips to Ria are points of interest not to be missed. We will
play Algarve’s finest golf course Monte Rei during our stay here in October 2015 plus two of top 10 courses in Algarve Quinta
da Ria & Quinta de Cima, plus a Free day out to Portugal Masters, a truly great week not to be missed.
The Vila Galé Ampalius
The Vila Galé Ampalius Hotel in Vilamoura is but 10 steps away from the Praia da Marina, and is renowned for its top-quality
4-star service. With a privileged location adjoining a drawing card for tourism in the Algarve, the Casino of Vilamoura, it is also
only a few metres away from the renowned Marina de Vilamoura. In turn, golf lovers can select from a variety of golf courses.
With 357 rooms (84 suites) and two outdoor swimming pools, this hotel in provides you with a stunning view from your balcony. Dinner at the Versátil Restaurant is an absolute must and a feature of choice during yourholidays in the Algarve. You simply

The Dom Joao
The Dom Joao beach hotel has now established itself as one of the most popular venues for our competition groups with a
great atmosphere and very close to the Golf courses and Alvor Village. This 4* hotel has very nicely decorated modern rooms
(and the Sea View rooms are well worth considering), very friendly staff, lively evenings in the bar with regular entertainment &
an excellent meeting place. If you take all the golf transfers, the hotel will look after your golf gear in the secure luggage room
at reception each evening, so no need to carry them back to your room. Alvor Village is just a 10 minute walk away with an
abundant selection of bars & restaurants where the prices are a good deal lower than the Central Algarve. The fish restaurants
here are some of the best in the Algarve with the freshest of catches from the local fishermen straight to your plate.

Vilamoura based golf trip. Our hotel
was the Vila Ampalius
(**** Star), close to the Marina and
overlooking the beach and perfectly
placed for transfers to the excellent
courses chosen to be played over
the week. Vilamoura Old Course,
Victoria (my favourite ), Millenium
and Quinta South. Although there
was a competition each day and
one running through the week, it
was played in a friendly atmosphere.
The host (Sean) was there at all
times to
organise everything down to the last
detail, to ensure we all enjoyed our
golf holiday.I will be back and I am
