Who we are
Compassionate Care ALS (CCALS) is a nonprofit
organization that supports people diagnosed with
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s
disease), their families and communities as they navigate the
complexities, both physical and emotional, associated with the
disease. We offer a broad and holistic range of services, usually
not covered by insurance, that are tailored to meet the needs of
individuals with ALS and their families.
what we do
CCALS provides resources including
equipment, educational workshops,
medicare/medicaid assistance,
referrals and subsidized living
assistance. Beyond logistical and
physical support we offer guidance
and awareness as individuals, their
families and their caregivers
grapple with a myriad of
difficult possibilities. Our
ultimate vision is to support
those with ALS to live as
fully as possible within the
parameters of the illness, and
to face end-of-life issues with
dignity, grace, and awareness.
