Welcome words
On the southern side of the Alps there is a secret gem of
Europe. Despite its size it is stunning in its diversity. I am
talking, of course, about Slovenia. Providing an activity for
every single adventurer, it is an awesome place to visit.
This July we will visit the heart of the Slovenian short but
very sweet coast, Portorož. During summer it is the liveliest
city at the seaside. Not to mention, also the warmest.
If you are searching for an event to go to this summer,
search no more. Just apply to the International Pharmaceutical Summer Camp, and you will be rewarded.
Having fun, relaxing, meeting new people from different
countries, gaining new skills or bettering existing ones,
learning and exploring etc. - this is IPSC.
The topic of this years’ IPSC is “Hungry for knowledge”.
We will learn about proper nutrition and its effects on human body. Our aim is to connect our knowledge of pharmacy with the field of nutrition and dietetics.

Portorož and Slovenian Coast
We are sure that you have all heard that Slovenian coast
is not the longest but it is definitely one
of the most beautiful ones at the Adriatic sea. You
will nowhere see as much diversity as you can experience in just 46 kilometers of Slovenian shore.
There are bays, peninsulas, national reserve, medieval
cities, a grand port, salina natural park and also a cliff
between Ankaran and Sečovlje, the two edge towns of the
Slovenian coast.
The only cliff in the Trieste bay is located in
Strunjan, which also has national reserve and it is
visited by hikers and cyclists because of the unspoiled
nature and amazing view from the top of the cliff.
Medieval Piran is the most historical city located on our
shore, with it’s famous Tartini square and St. George’s
church on the top of the hill. Many tourists visit the
gallery, nautical museum and aquarium. With narrow streets
and long tradition in fishing Piran really gives away a true
mediterrian spirit.

Portorož and Slovenian Coast
The old salina natural park in Sečovlje is still operating,
locals are still obtaing salf from the sea the old fashoined way. This is quite the attraction and a great number
of people come just to witness this interesting procedure.
Place is also easily accesible by foot and bicylce, so you
have no excuse visiting the salina park.
Last but not least, there is the most prestigious city of all,
Portorož. It is the nearest larger city of the place we will
be staying at, Seča. It is the heart of nightlife on Slovenian coast. With five stars hotels and casinos it attracts
distingiused guest from all over the World.
There are also several bars just a couple of meters away
from the beach with lively atmosphere and life music.
