Kaitlin Childs had a record of (10-10) and ended the season with a four game winning streak showing
the improvement of the team. The varsity’s record ended up (11-13). The team will lose it’s only
senior Cyrah Bryant, but will be returning nine juniors that should have a lot of varsity experience
which should help the team next year. Being in the new Suburban XII South the Pirates were able to
get some recognition from the other teams. Freshman Tyra Brown, first team all-conference, Juniors
Marnae Brown and Cassie Callahan, honorable mention, Senior Cyrah Bryant sportsmanship award,
and Juniors Rachel Kerwin and Tamera Shelton made the academic all-conference team.

the varsity team during the season. The wrestling team went undefeated in dual meets in conference
play. Tommy O’Brien was the team’s lone state qualifier as he finished the year with a record of 41-5.

bang placing first at the McCluer North Relay Invite. The team also took 6th overall at the FZN Invite

followed: Valerie Brockman, Becky Kaufman, Haley Raftery, Allison Van Buren, and Mandie Wilson.
Julianna Basler, Felicity Tso, Emma Luem, Kara Myers, and Avi Levy placed top 8 in at least one
swim event or diving event. Our 400 Freshmen Relay placed 3rd consisting of Emma Luem, Felicity

CHEERLEADING
Head Coach Kali Hunt
The Pattonville Varsity Cheerleaders are wrapping up the season with success. The group has
been together the full year and has made many incredible accomplishments. The Cheerleaders
attended camp at MIZZOU this summer. At camp nine out of the seventeen athletes were announced
that they made the National Cheerleaders Association All American Team and the four senior girls
were asked to become staff members. The VRAHS also competed this year at the regional and state
competitions. At regionals, the team placed third out of six. At the state competition the team placed
fifth place out of twenty other small coed schools. This is the first time in nine years that the
cheerleaders placed top five at state. The cheerleaders finished their season with outstanding
performances at the Varsity Drill Teams Variety show. Not only are the Varsity cheerleaders highly
skilled performers they also high achieving in the realm of academics. Eight cheerleaders finished
the year with above at 3.3 GPA (mind in motion) and one received Academic All Conference with a
4.0 GPA. At the cheerleaders banquet three cheerleaders finished with specialty awards; Maddy
Clark with 110% award, Stacy Manjarrez with Most improved, and Jessica Burgess with the Pirate
award. The coaches, Kalli Hunt and Kevin Gostling, could not be more proud of the success the
VRAHS accomplished this year. We wish the seniors the best with their college and future, and look
forward to working with the returning cheerleaders next year.

Spring season previews
BASEBALL -
Head Coach Rob Simpson
The varsity baseball team is extremely anxious to get our season started. We have a very
upbeat, energetic clubhouse eager to begin play in our new conference. We have a seventeen-man
roster this year comprised of eight seniors, eight juniors, and one sophomore. Our returning starters
are Right fielder and pitcher Jake Stroker, Third baseman and pitcher Mike Jacobson, Shortstop and
reliever Anthony Green, and center fielder Micah Evans. With very strong returning leadership
mixed with young very athletic players who are eager to make a name for themselves at the varsity
level, the Pirates our poised to win a conference championship while competing in their first year in
the new Suburban South conference. Our post-season aspirations are simple: To win our new district
championship and there can be no stopping us from there on out.
BOYS GOLF
– Head Coach Scott Hutson
Golf season has begun and the teams are getting ready for another successful campaign on
the links. We have high hopes for this year's Varsity squad as we return many of our key players
from last season. Last season we won our conference championship with a perfect 6-0 record, won
the Hazelwood West Tournament and finished second in the Pattonville Invitational. Grant Cushman,
Connor Hogan and David Treat will return this spring to help seniors Alex Caldwell, Brock Morris,
Matt Anderson and Kyle Baldwin lead the charge to another conference championship. Hogan, Treat
and Anderson finished last season by qualifying for sectional play, narrowly missing the opportunity to
play for a state championship. We expect bigger and better things from our team heading into this
season. It is a strong possibility that this year's team could produce up to five sectional and state
qualifiers. We have the opportunity to do some special things on the golf course this year, and we are
looking forward to making this a season to remember. The JV team is also poised to have a strong
season with newcomers Sam Stanek and Shawn Hulahan joining returning players such as Kyle
Rhodes, Cooper Schneider and Mitch Stringer on this year's squad. We look to build upon a strong
showing from last year, and it is our hope that by season's end many of our JV players will be
competing for positions on the Varsity team.
GIRLS SOCCER
– Head Coach Tom Iffrig
The Pattonville Soccer Program is off and running! The freshmen are working hard on their
ball skills and eager to play in their first match on March 27th vs. Lafayette. The JV squad has been
working hard on ball skills, Fitness and Speed/Agility and they are excited for their first match vs.
Parkway Central as part of the Kicks-4-Cancer game scheduled for March 27th at 4:30. All of the
proceeds from the Kicks-4-Cancer game will benefit the Cardinal Kids Cancer Center at Mercy! The
Pattonville Varsity Soccer Team (PVS) are returning this year after a 6th consecutive District Title
where they placed 3 girls on the All-STL Region team and 1 on the All-State team! The Pirates are
led by Seniors; Hailey Womack, Kayla York and Megan Anth, along with standout juniors LeeAnn
Graff and Kristin Barringhaus and they also return leading goal scorer, Madison Utley. The Varsity
squad open up their season away against Class 1 State Champion, Duchesne on March 24th @ 6:00.
PVS has high expectations again this year with hopes of a 7th consecutive District Title and a trip to
Kansas City to play in the State Final Four!
BOYS TENNIS
– Head Coach Jeff Grass
We are all excited about the 2015 tennis season and look forward to the tough competition in
our new conference. Four of our top six players graduated, but we have some athletic younger guys
ready to take on the challenge of being a varsity tennis player. Even though we are in a rebuilding
mode, our hopes are high for this season. We believe the two returning varsity athletes, Andre
Santa-Maria and Brian Jennings, will be our top two players. Several other players to keep an eye on
include Mihir Boara, Aman Khurana, Donnie Learch, Reggie Ewing, Josh Czopek, Carter Yarnell,
Daniel Burns, and Sam Ung.
GIRLS TRACK
– Head Coach Rob Lamb
Pattonville Women's Track has many returning varsity members. The Sprint relays have many
returning starters including Fatima Richards, Allison Sanders, Erykah White, Tamera Shelton and
many others. In throwing events we have Moyrah Eldridge, Fatima Richards (Jr.) Jasmine Kenny (Sr.)
and in the pole-vault we have high hopes for this year as Jasmine hopes to return to the state meet
for a second year. This year we have the largest women's team in several years with many new
athletes and we are training hard to make a great showing this season. This season we have several
home meets on Tuesday and hope to see a great crowd in the stands. Our first home meet is the
Green and White at 3 o'clock on March 23. Some of our varsity weekend meets include the
Timberland Invitational on April 7th, the Corey Seibert Invitational on April 18th at Rockwood Summit,
and the Marion Freeman Invitational on May1st and 2nd at Clayton Field. Hope to see you out at the
track.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
– Head Coach Becky Middendorf
The start of the 2015 season is upon us and it brings an almost all-new varsity boys’ volleyball
team. With 6 players graduating last year, this year’s line-up will look brand new. Returning from last
season are seniors Daniel Noles (setter) and Nathan Kirchoff (outside hitter). They will be the only
players with significant varsity experience and will shoulder a lot of responsibility this year. Helping
them at the setting position will be senior Noah Cwiklowski and the rest of the team is juniors and
sophomores. At this early point in the season, positions are still being filled and the boys are working
hard to make the starting line-up. We will be facing several new teams in our schedule because of
the realignment of the suburban conferences. We have not had a conference for many years and are
excited to compete with these schools. The boys have committed to work hard and get better every
time we take the court.
BOYS TRACK
– Head Coach Jeremiah Simmons
The boy’s track team has high expectations heading into the 2015 season. This season
ushers in a new conference and new classification as Missouri has expanded to 5 classes in track
and field. The team has a lot of new faces this season, but also welcomes back some strong talent
from last year’s squad. The boy’s track team will be led this year by Chris Gleghorn (JR), a 2-event
state-qualifier from last year. Gleghorn is a top-ten returner in the state in both the 200 (10th) and the
long jump (3rd). He hopes to improve on his All-State 5th place finish in the long jump from last years
state meet. Gleghorn and the rest of the jumps team look to be the strongest area for the boys track
team this season. C.J. McDaniel (SR) qualified for sectionals last year and hopes to qualify for state
as the 2nd best returner in the section. Brad Jenkins (JR) is the 5th best returner in the section for
triple jump. Newcomers Tyrone Eastern (SR), Isaiah Davis (SO) and Derrick Boyce (FR) should also
contribute in the jumps. The sprint team is very young this year and will be led by many of the
jumpers listed above. Darnell Johnson (SO) and Tyrell Miles (FR) have looked strong in the early
season and should contribute to the varsity team. In the throws, the Pirates will be led by Jordan
Wilkes (JR). Wilkes qualified for sectionals last year in the shot put and is a top 2 returner in the
section. He is also the 7th returner in the discus. Jalen Allen (SR) joins Wilkes in the discus as the
other returner from last years team. Marcus Thornton (SR) rejoins the team after a year off and looks
to contribute to the team in the shot put. Micah Tompkins (SO) and Francisco Rosales (SR) will lead
the distance team. Tompkins showed a lot of potential with a strong indoor track season this winter
and Rosales is a two time state qualifier in cross-country. Azim Djuraev (JR), Josh Jackson (JR), and
Jack Wallis (JR) should contribute in the mid-distance events. The boy’s track team starts its season
on March 27 at Seckman High School. The team will compete in highly competitive meets this year
at Timberland, Rockwood Summit, Ladue, and Clayton. The team travels to Parkway North on May
7th and 8th for the first Suburban XII conference track met and then to Lutheran North on May 16th
for the Class 5 District 3 meet.
GIRLS LACROSSE
– Head Coach David DiPasquale
Pattonville Ladies Lacrosse is excited to start the first varsity season. Two previous seasons
of junior varsity competition have the team prepared for the season ahead. The team has set their
goal on creating a winning culture with a winning record and follow up with a conference
championship in our inaugural varsity season. The team has three seniors committed to compete at
the collegiate level in 2016 and there are many players ready to fill those big shoes. The future looks
bright for Pattonville Lacrosse
WATER POLO
– Head Coach Marcus Christian
After finishing 2nd in the Missouri State Tournament in 2014, the Pattonville Coed Water Polo
team will be making the leap to varsity this year. Lead by captains Colin Parker and Max Bodde, the
boys and girls of water polo are looking to make a splash. The Pattonville Aquatics Center will be
hosting the first ever Pattonville Water Polo invite on March 27th and 28th. This will be a great
opportunity for players to test their skills and fans to show their support!
