PASTOR’S
TEAM FCC Welcomes YOU!
PERSPECTIVE
GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS!
It is a great joy to be in the house of the
LORD with you today. We can all be thankful that we have the ability to come. We can
all be grateful that we have a place where we can come. And we
all should be glad that we have a desire to come to the House of
the Lord on the Lord’s Day to Worship Him--Our Creator, Our
Sustainer, Our Savior, Our Sanctifier, Our soon coming King!
I recently heard a preacher say, “GOD not only wants us to
come into HIS Presence, HE wants HIS Presence to come into us.”
The more I thought about it, the more impressed I was with the
depth of that truth.
Think about it. It was sin that separated the first couple from
the presence of GOD.
It was God’s amazing grace that preserved them from immediate death.
It was God’s boundless mercy that opened the way for Adam,
and the sons of Adam, to again know Him.
It was God’s holiness that paved the way back to Him—A
highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called the way of holiness.
And It was God’s infinite love that drew them back to Him,
that sacrificed for them, and finally restored them to fellowship-And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and
he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16
GOD not only wants us to come into HIS Presence!
And not only does He want us to come into His presence, HE
wants HIS Presence to come into us.
His invitation is universal but it is not without requirement.
His invitation is personal but it is not informal—it was formal.
With form—with specific instruction.
His invitation brings infinite potential to finite men, but it
requires limitless--infinite if you will--consecration.
Jesus encouraged His disciples to anticipate the day when He
would ascend into heaven to intercede for them. “Nevertheless I tell
you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the
Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.”

John 16:7.
He said, “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the
world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know
him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” John 16:16-18
God not only wants us to come into His presence, He wants
His presence to come into us. He longs to fill the heart of every lost
person with Himself--the Spirit of Holiness.
Someone asked me yesterday how they would know that they
were truly saved. It was a refreshing question.
I took them down the Roman Road--Scriptures from the Book
of Romans that we often use to lead people to Christ. Romans
3:23 All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans
6:23 For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 10:9 if thou shalt confess
with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that
God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with
the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation.
But I wanted them see that the end of that road is “There is
therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus
who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit.” Romans 8:1, and
that God’s Spirit floods the heart with love--”the love of God is
shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost who is given unto us.”
Romans 5:4.
Yes God wants us to come into His presence. But His ultimate
purpose is that His presence would come into us!
WELCOME TO FAITH COMMUNITY!
Jesus said, “What is that to thee--follow me!”
John 21:22

THE APOSTLES CREED –
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth;
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by
the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius
Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; descended into the grave,
the third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into
heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Christian Church,
the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection
of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
Scriptures of the Month
Each month we are encouraging God’s people to memorize a passage of Scripture.
ACTS 1:8
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is
come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in
Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria,
and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
