FESTIVAL OF TREES RAFFLE RULES
Price: Tickets are $5 each.
Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years old to buy a ticket and claim a prize. Members of Vancouver Rotary Club
(VRC) and their immediate families are eligible to win.
Tree Selection: You will need to put your ticket in the barrel identified for the tree you are hoping to win.
Each tree will have a number and a theme. A list of merchandise for each tree will be listed in the catalog and
on a poster near the tree’s ticket barrel. All prizes will be awarded as stated, no substitutions allowed.
Raffle Drawing: The participant does not need to be present to win.
The drawings will be on Sunday, Dec. 1st, at 4 pm in the Vancouver Hilton Hotel, 301 W 6th St. Official results
will be available online by 7 pm, Dec. 1st.
One ticket will be drawn randomly from the barrel identified for each tree. A second ticket will be drawn and
identified for each tree. The second ticket will be used if the winning ticket is not claimed by December 4, 2013.
Judges independent of the Vancouver Rotary Club will be obtained and their decisions are final. The winner of
each tree will be awarded the tree, cash, and merchandise listed for that tree. Winners will be notified by the
contact information written on the ticket (telephone, email and/or in the media).
Deadline for Claiming Prizes: Prizes must be claimed by December 4, 2013. If not claimed, the second ticket
holder will be declared the winner and notified.
Trees not claimed by December 7th will be donated to SHARE. Their cash cards will be donated to the
Vancouver Rotary Foundation. Vancouver Rotary Club reserves the right to determine a winner of the
unclaimed merchandise by a random drawing of tickets.

Delivery of the tree can be arranged if within a 25-mile distance from the Hilton.
Note: Winners of prizes in excess of $600 must provide social security number for IRS purposes and are
responsible for all taxes.

Vancouver Rotary Club reserves the right to postpone or reschedule the drawing in the event of inclement
weather, acts of God or other circumstances beyond VRC’s reasonable control.
By purchasing a ticket, winners consent to the promotional use of their name and likenesses by VRC and its
designees without additional compensation.
