LEGO Robotics III
Rising 3rd - 8th grade
Teacher: Trina Jackson
June 8-11; 9am-noon
Fairhope Intermediate School Computer Lab
Cost: $80 per week
Let your imagination run wild and bring your toys to life with LEGO
Robotics. Campers will design and build program models using traditional LEGO and computer programming. We’ll take it a a step further
this year as campers use their marketing skills to create a commercial
“selling” their invention. Not only is this camp a blast, but participants
also learn through observation, develop critical thinking skills, and
build an understanding of physical science and engineering concepts.
While it is not necessary to participate, it is helpful for students to be
familiar with LEGO Robotics. Register early. Space is limited.
Intro to Band

Get a jump on learning to play your instrument. Students planning to
participate in 6th grade band at Fairhope Intermediate or J. Larry Newton School are invited to join this week of fun. Students will become
comfortable with instruments and begin learning to read and play
musical notes. This class is a great introduction to beginning band.
(Note: Students should have their own instruments or make arrangements to borrow one from the instructors.) Prior to camp, students
should purchase Standards of Excellence Book 1, which they will also
use during the school year.
Intermediate Band Camp
For rising 7th and 8th graders
Teacher: Susan Harrison

Why should high school students have all the fun with band camp?
Now students entering 7th and 8th grade, with at least one year of
band experience, can polish their playing skills before heading back
to school. This is a fun way to review, learn new music, and get a head
start on the school year. Prior to camp, students should purchase Standards of Excellence Book 2.
