We had such a fantastic time at Fetch and Releash 2014 that we have decided to do it again! We would like to invite you
to take part in Fetch and Releash 2015! This event last year saw the adoption of hundreds of dogs and cats and 2500+
people came out to the park to take part in the event! We look forward to even larger attendance this year!
We have once again partnered with Albuquerque Animal Welfare for this awesome event and we look forward to having
a large diverse selection of animal rescue and shelter organizations with adoptable pets. We will once again be offering
free rescue spaces (10x20) and premium rescue spaces (20x20) to be dispersed throughout the event.
Fetch and Releash is a two day major pet adoption event located at Balloon Fiesta Park, May 30th and May 31st 2015
(Saturday 10-4 and Sunday 10-3). We are anticipating a large number of adoption minded people to attend the event.
About the Pet Expo:
We will be inviting businesses and rescue/shelter organizations to fill 90 available spaces at this event. The event will
host a child’s play area, an animal training area with training classes held at the top of every hour, local food trucks and
so much more!
How Can You Participate?
Justice Great Dane Rescue has always taken great pride in developing partnerships with our fellow animal organizations.
We are pleased to be able to offer this opportunity to you. Last year’s event allowed us to raise $8000 for the animal
rescue organizations in attendance. This year we hope to double that amount. We learned some very valuable lessons
last year that will be putting into place this year. We will not have a rescue tent, the rescue groups will be spread
amongst the vendors. Please ensure that you read through this packet completely so that you are fully aware of the
rules and expectations that accompany your participation.

Rescue/Shelter Organizations
Justice Great Dane Rescue is dedicated to the overall welfare of animals in our community. This dedication has
led us to put on one of the largest adoption events in New Mexico. We feel truly blessed to share this experience
with so many wonderful animal rescue/shelter organizations in 2014 and look forward to doing so again this
year.
We are commited to ensuring that this event is successful for everyone and does not negatively impact our
community. One potential downside to large scale adoption events are remorse returns. We are happy to
announce that all organizations that participated in this event last year upheld their commitment to the animals
that were adopted from the event and remorse returns were handled by the adopting organization. We are
once again asking that all organizations and shelters that participate in Fetch And Releash agree to be responsible for reabsorbing their own returns. If one of your animals is returned to an Albuquerque shelter, you will be
notified and arrangements will need to be made to return the animal to your organization.
A very frequently asked question how funds are shared from the event. There are a few simple rules guiding
how funds are distributed. These rules must be abided by in order for an organization/shelter to be eligible to
receive any of the funds allocated to the participating rescue/shelters.
To be elible for any event fund sharing organizations/shelters must be present on both days of the event, those
that pack up early will result in loss of fund eligibility. Organizations must provide a copy of their 501c3 determination letter when submitting the participation application. Determination letters sent after the application
submission will not be counted and those organizations will not be eligible for funds. Rescue areas must be
clean and trash deposited in the roll off trash bin provided for the event and not in the trash bins throghout the
event grounds. A rescue/shelter leaving trash in event areas will forfeit funds.
This event is a very large amount of work. Due to this fact the funda awared will reflect your organizations
participation in the event. Participation is defined as event promotion, provision of volunteers to help with the
general event activities (volunteers in your booth do not count towards participation).
We hope that you will join us this year for what we believe will be an awesome opportunity for all of us.

Rules & Expectations
All animals MUST be spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated and micro-chipped PRIOR to the event
(These records must be available on site at request, this is not negotiable)
A list of all animals being brought to the event must be provided 24 hours before the event
(This list should include Name, Description/Photo and microchip number)
If an animal adopted from your rescue/shelter is returned to a local shelter you agree to arrange
for this animal to be returned to your organization
Highly reactive or under socialized animals should not attend this event as it is a family event
Adoption fees must be consistant with your organization/shelters normal adoption fees
All animals are to be secure at all times (Animals must be able to stand up and turn around in crate)
(Dog crates cannot be stacked, retractable leashes and pinch collars are not allowed at the event)
All animals must be provided clean water and be kept clean during the event
Animals exhibiting signs of illness should not be brought to the event
Animals may not be left unattended in the park overnight
Organizations may opt to camp in the park overnight, electicity is available for a fee
All trash must be desposited in event roll off container
Tents are provided, NO outside tents/popups are allowed

All animals will be compliant with Albuquerque City Ordinances prior to the event (Spay/neuter, vaccinationes, chip)
•
Trash and Debri will be removed from public areas and deposited in the provided roll oﬀ trash bin.
•
A manifest of all adoptable animals being brought to the event will be provided 24 hours in advance
•
By signing this document you agree to adhere to ALL rules and expectations listed within this packet not just those
listed here.
•
It is highly recommended that all organization/shelters have proof of liability insurance at the time of the event.
(You will be held solely responsible for any damages/injuries arising from your animals, equipment, products.)
Justice Great Dane Rescue, its agents, directors, assigns, volunteers, employees and/or committee members shall not be liable for any damages
arising from personal injuries or property damage sustained by Participant in or about the premises and/or in connection with the Fetch and
Releash events. Participant assumes full responsibility for any injuries or damages that may occur to Participant in or about the Premises while
attending, assisting, or otherwise participating in the event. The Participant shall fully and forever release and discharge Justice Great Dane
Rescue and related Board of Directors, owners, employees, and agents from any and all liability, claims, demands, damages, rights of action or
causes of action, present or future, whether the same be known, anticipated or unanticipated, resulting from or arising out of any incident to
the Participant while in attendance, assistance, or participation in the event.
