OVS CELEBRATES THE ROYAL WEDDING IN STYLE! The children at The Old Vicarage School, Darley Abbey have been preparing to celebrate the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton in style. "This is an important event in our country's history and the teachers wanted to make it a memorable experience for the children" said the Headmaster, Matthew Adshead. The Nursery and Reception children in the Early Years staged their own mock Royal wedding. The girls made fascinators with ribbon, flowers and feather to wear in their hair. Plastic scooters were decorated to transport notable guests to the service and all guests enjoyed a pre reception glass of milk to celebrate! The Wedding Reception followed with handmade flowers to decorate and even a fantastic tiered homemade wedding cake! The older children took part in musical and art activities to mark the special occasion. The whole school want to wish the couple every happiness together in the future!
