title: Heart Strings
dimensions: 33" ×× 39.5" framed
frame: Acrylic
Inspired by an old engraving of all
the four suits in the game of cards,
we have focused on the hearts and let
them rain down in our celebration of a
romantic and seductive mood. Our
hearts have been drawn on vellum in
our studio, printed on somerset paper,
and leafed with silver or gold.
Exploring the beauty of butterflies on their own, we present single-species butterflies, another addition to The 5 x 8 Project. Once we have your order
quantity, a variety of species will be selected by our design team for you.

frame: Black Shadowbox
Minimum 12 per order.
title: Kaleidoscope
dimensions: 59" ×× 59" framed

The journey of this piece began with
collecting damaged butterfly wings
and re-purposing them for their
singular beauty. Briana Sophia
Horne has designed our first of many
explorations in wing pattern and
color. With the digitization of it, we
can now offer a breathtaking, largerthan-life kaleidoscopic vision, coming
in at a massive 59" ×× 59".

One of a few of our explorations of feathers,

These feather silhouettes are created
by mixing ink colors and pulling
across the screen such that each print
is a mono print of unique ink swirls
and blends. The sample image is
representative of the palette used for
this series of prints. We've showcased
these color combinations over
naturally dyed Edgeworthia Bhutan
paper, floated on white matte board in
a wood frame.

perfect in form, considered here in
starkly contrasting black and white.
These pieces are silkscreen prints over
archival Somerset satin paper, made
with 100% cotton fibers.

To capture the aethereal beauty of
our golden, falling feathers, our
team of artists begin by painting each
bird feather gold. We literally drop
the feathers onto their linen beds to
find their natural form. This process
preserves an authentic movement and
quality true to nature.

The German Krystalle Collection
is a study in abstract form. Our

Konversation Lexicon, in an
entry showing various man-made
crystal shapes. The images are created
from a 2-color silkscreen process of
solid yellow and a white overprint.

Sea life is one of the great wonders
for us in the studio. We never tire
of exploring new ways to work with
specimens from the watery depths.
Framing each piece through windows
over color fields allows the viewer to
consider each unique form. We've
given these quaint pieces a modern feel
under our signature acrylic frame.

of modern imagery and handmade paper
making. These are made in Nepal and each

of a kind. The combination of putting theses
papers together make it a very open spirited
energy and feeling.

Pirooni was a 1930’s NY design house

styles while still under the direction of an
established design House.

We are still in an Age of Discovery.
Continuing our fascination with
books, this is an introduction to the
concept of capturing a library for
your wall. Not every house may
have a library but this represents
the idea of collecting perhaps in a
more modern manner. We have
selected ten books from our library,
which remind us to see the world as
emerging and developing rather than
already discovered.
title: Cooking the Books
dimensions: 44" ×× 44" framed
frame: Espresso Shadowbox.
Due to the natural variance of handmade
work and use of unique specimen, each piece is
one-of-a-kind.
In a time of economic upheaval, one
of our statement application pieces
reflects on this simple expression of
“cooking the books.” Each book has
been worn in its pages, dipped in an
aging elixir, and left to “cook” in the
Los Angeles sunshine.
This series of one-color silkscreen prints was inspired by the paintings of Mark Rothko, in which big color fields interact with each other. The prints are
on a beautiful Japanese style Bhutan Paper, made with 100% Mitsumata fibers, acid-free and unsized. These prints evoke a feeling of Zen that is very
calming in any space.

This series of silkscreen prints was inspired by
the works of the Bauhaus art school, especially
by the works of Joseph Albers. Bauhaus, a
progressive art school active in Germany
in the early 20th century that sought to
redefine art education, is the major source of
development in color theory. There, master
Johannes Itten and one of his students, Joseph
Albers, began an in-depth study of color.
