Our Extended Warranties are specifically designed for Land Rover vehicles, so whatever the journey, you’ll appreciate the reassurance of knowing that you’re covered for both mechanical and electrical failures. Approved Extended Warranty is available for Land Rover vehicles which at the time of warranty purchase are a maximum of five years old and have covered less than 75,000 miles. Summary of Cover The Approved Extended Warranty covers defects to most factory fitted components of the vehicle for mechanical or electrical failure. SELECT EXTENDED WARRANTY Select Extended Warranty is available for Land Rover vehicles which at the time of warranty purchase are a maximum of ten years old and have covered less than 100,000 miles. The Select Extended Warranty covers most major repairs on the following components of the vehicle for mechanical or electrical failure: – Engine – Gearbox – Differential – Drive line – Suspension – Steering – Cooling system – Air conditioning – Braking system – Turbo unit – Fuel system – Casings – Clutch – Electrics – Transfer box A Items not covered on the Approved Extended Warranty are also excluded from the Select Extended Warranty. SELECT WARRANTY Claim Liability £3,000 individual claim liability and aggregate claims up to the price paid for the vehicle. Mileage Restriction This warranty will provide cover for your vehicle for the duration of the warranty period up to a maximum of 25,000 miles from the date of warranty purchase. Select Extended Summary of Cover Note ADDITIONAL BENEFITS Land Rover Approved Extended and Select Extended Warranties also offer the following additional benefits. Replacement Vehicle If you have a valid claim, you may claim reimbursement for a replacement vehicle, but not including fuel and insurance. You are responsible for the first 24 hours that you cannot use your own vehicle. After this period, you can claim for a replacement vehicle for up to seven days. Overseas Cover Your vehicle is covered whilst it is outside the United Kingdom in Europe for up to 60 days during the period of warranty. If your vehicle has a breakdown in any country, which is a member of the European Union or EFTA (European Free Trade Association), you will be entitled to authorise a repair by any Land Rover dealer. MOT Test Insurance MOT Test Insurance cover available up to a limit of £750 (including VAT). Please note, the first £50 of any claim must be paid by the warranty holder and MOT test and re-test fee are not covered. Significant Exclusions or Limitations There are certain items which these policies specifically do not cover. Full details can be obtained from your Land Rover dealer or Land Rover Approved Warranty Administration. – If the vehicle has been modified in any way you must declare this prior to application for the warranty. – Any vehicle fitted with wheels and tyres that exceed Land Rover maximum approved size and diameter must also be declared prior to application for the warranty as fitment of such wheels and tyres could invalidate the warranty. – The vehicle must be serviced in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended service schedule. – Non UK registered left-hand drive and Grey Import vehicles. – Public service vehicles, such as police vehicles, ambulances and military vehicles are excluded. – Vehicles used for hire or reward, vehicles used in any sort of competition, rally or racing and any vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight of more than 3.5 tonne are all excluded. – Warranty cover may only be granted to individuals residing or corporate bodies registered in the UK. CUSTOMER INFORMATION Demands and Needs Statement Cancellation Rights and Refunds This product range meets the demands and needs of a Land Rover owner who wishes to cover themselves against certain costs of mechanical failure of their vehicles. We hope you are happy with the cover this policy provides. If after reading your policy document, however, this insurance cover does not meet with your requirements, you have the right to cancel the warranty (including the MOT element of the policy) within 30 days of purchase and the optional assistance element within 14 days of purchase. Policy Premium Payments and Policy Durations Cover is available on a monthly renewing basis with ten monthly payments or as an annual policy with a single upfront payment. The cover levels provided by a monthly renewing policy are identical to those of an annual policy. For a monthly renewing policy, you must pay the required premium every month on or before the date when it is due. Should you fail to pay a monthly premium when it is due, all cover will cease immediately from that date. Your monthly policy has a minimum term of 12 months and we reserve the right to vary your monthly premium at any time by providing you 30 days notice in writing to the last address you provided us with. We will not automatically renew your cover after the initial 12 month period, however we will write to you at the last address you provided to give details of how to continue your cover. Continuation of cover may be subject to certain vehicle eligibility criteria. Should you wish to cancel within this period, please return the policy to the Land Rover dealer from whom the policy was purchased; the dealer will then refund any premium you are entitled to. If you purchased your policy online or via postal application please contact Land Rover Approved Warranty Administration on 0844 573 8055 for a refund of any premium you are entitled to. If you wish to cancel your policy after this 30-day period, you may cancel your policy in writing at any time and receive a pro rata refund of your premium based on the number of whole months remaining subject to the deduction of a cancellation fee of £35. Requests for cancellation outside of the first 30 days from purchase should be made in writing to Land Rover Approved Warranty Administration. There will be no refund entitlement under the following circumstances: – in the last 30 days of cover on the warranty including the MOT policy – if you have made a claim on the warranty or the MOT policy – where the warranty including MOT policy has been transferred from the original purchaser – where Land Rover Assistance has been taken as a cost option, no refund or part refund will be provided after the first 14 days, or where assistance has been sought within the first 14 days In the event of a claim arising, you must follow this procedure: Take your vehicle to the Land Rover supplying dealer with the following information: – The full warranty type and number (found on the Warranty Certificate) – The date and mileage that the component failed. However, you have the right to cancel it within 14 days of receiving the policy handbook, without giving any reason. If that happens, we will refund your payment in full. In the event that you wish to cancel this policy within the 14-day period, in the first instance please contact Land Rover Approved Warranty Administration, who will arrange for the refund. Please note that if your policy is cancelled after the expiry of the 14-day period, following receipt of the warranty documentation no refund will be payable.
