The Survival Skills for
Healthy Families series is
a course that teaches
families simple rules to
live by. The topics
include:

Parents in Healthy Families.
The job of parents.
Children in Healthy Families.
The job of kids.
Adult Relationships.
The importance of adults working
together in families.
As Children Grow —
Change in Healthy Families.
Dealing with family change.
Solving Family Problems.
Sex, Drugs, and You.
Passing on Your Values to Your Children.
Traditional as well as blended families learn
together and practice the patterns and skills
common to individuals in healthy families. Families
and individuals are able to identify their strengths
and build on them with support from the instructors
and other families.
The course presentation is highly interactive,
simple, practical, usable, fun, and culturally
relevant. This is a family friendly education program
that teaches skills, builds on strengths, and anyone
can take home new skills today.

together. Each of the sessions is organized around
practical guidelines for healthy family interactions—

with a family. Don’t worry, the concerns of single
parenting and step families will be included.

Laura Waggle, received her Middle Childhood
Education degree from Ohio University, graduating
Summa Cum Laude (4.0 GPA) in December 2014.
As a certified facilitator through Family Wellness,
Laura has been delivering this curriculum with
passion, and experiences from her personal
journey of life.
In addition to serving ForeverDads as a
facilitator and Mom-focused engagement
developer, teaching within our local public
schools and serving her church through
outreach ministry opportunities, she is a mom.
Laura is single
mother of two adult
sons, and a youth
daughter, plus is
blessed with a
daughter-in-law and
grandson.
Joining Laura as co-facilitator is
long time friend, Larry Gatten.
The commitment to provide a
male perspective into the
parenting dynamics is critical
for balance. Larry brings these
attributes to the classroom.
When he isn’t serving ForeverDads, he
continues doing what he does best. Larry
