SUMMER MINI-CAMPS
Please check specific mini-camps for registration end dates. Space is limited in all mini-camps and
may fill prior to listed registration end-dates. Additional information for all summer programs is
available at the Recreation Office, located at 1500 Stillwell Avenue or you can contact us at 201592-3612. Registration hours are weekdays, from 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
FORT LEE RESIDENTS
Registration for Fort Lee residents starts on Monday, Monday, May 11th at the Fort Lee Recreation
Office. For first time registrants, proof of age and proof of residency is required.
NON RESIDENTS
Registration for non-residents starts on Monday, May 18th at the Fort Lee Recreation Office. For
first time registrants, proof of age and proof of residency is required.
REFUND POLICY: No refunds will be given after a class has begun. The Recreation Department
reserves the right to cancel any class due to insufficient registration. In such a case, a full refund
will be granted.

JUNIOR CHEFS CREATIVE COOKING CAMP BY EDUCATION EXPLORERS

In this ‘no-bake’ cooking class, our Junior Chefs will learn the basics of cooking in this fun and creative camp.
Children will learn how to follow the steps of a recipe, as well as learn to measure, mix, and decorate desserts
using a variety of tools and techniques. Register Early!

TECH TITANS ENGINEERING CAMP BY EDUCATION EXPLORERS

In this hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) based camp, our Junior Engineers will
explore the many aspects of engineering involving the application of creativity in partnership with math,
science, social studies, and language arts. Some of the projects they will be working on are rubber band
powered helicopters, levers, gliders, roller coasters, and many more!

ABRAKADOODLE ART CAMPS
MOMMY AND ME “MY FIRST ART CLASS”

This beginner art class will provide lots of colorful fun for little fingers. Weekly projects will enhance fine
motor skills as we learn about colors, explore textures, use paints, and creative tools to make the art of
treasure. Caregiver participation is required!
The following Abrakadoodle art camps are for children ages 3 – 5 years and are held at the Fort Lee Youth
Center. The limit for all Abrakadoodle camps is 15. Registration for all art camps ends TWO-weeks prior to
the specific camp start date or when the class has filled. The fee is $125.00 for each individual camp. All
materials are included in the fee. Checks are made payable to Abrakadoodle
RHYME-A-LOT ART CAMP BY ABRAKADOODLE®
Dates: July 6th – July 9th
Time: 9:30 A.M. – 12:00 Noon
Sing, play and create masterpieces with rhymes. Make a 3D spaghetti collage! Create a textured ant hill! Climb
aboard a colorful freight train and visit the market in the colorful world of Camp Rhyme-A-Lot!

BUILD IT! ART CAMP BY ABRAKADOODLE®
Dates: July 13th – 16th
Time: 9:30 A.M. – 12:00 Noon
Kids are natural builders! This camp is for boys and girls who like to build, paint, and make really cool stuff!
Come build a bird using wooden pieces, make a 3-D puzzle, and construct a multi-level wall sculpture and more
using hammers, nails, and other cool and unique art tools!

PAWS, CLAWS, AND HOOVES ART CAMP BY ABRAKADOODLE®
Dates: July 20th – 23rd
Time: 9:30 A.M. – 12:00 Noon
Calling all animal lovers for a ROARRRRRRING camp experience! Make your animal kingdom come to life with
farm animals, safari animals, wild animals and imaginary creatures! Join us on this imaginative journey where
we will be painting, collaging, building, and having fun!

CAMP OOH-LA-LA BY ABRAKADOODLE®
Dates: July 27th – 30th
Time: 9:30 A.M. – 12:00 Noon
An art camp that will delight boys and girls alike! Use Crayola products to explore shape and color, cut paper to
music, and mix fabulous finger paints to create wonderful works of art. Come see dots explode, sandpaper
monsters be silly, clay that sparkles like glitter and stars twinkle!
Please provide a nut-free snack/beverage for your child.
USSI SPORTS CAMPS
Registration for all USSI camps ends one week prior to the specific camps start date or when the camp has
filled. All checks made payable to USSI. All participants for USSI camps receive a t-shirt.
USSI – TENNIS SQUIRTS
Dates: July 27th – July 31st

Ages: 3 - 5 years

This camp is a great way to learn the sports fundamental skills in a low pressured, fun environment with a little
help from mom or dad. Following guidelines set out by the US Tennis Association, children will quickly develop
their understanding and skills within the game. This program uses the highly acclaimed QuickStart Tennis
format using age appropriate court size and equipment. Each player must have a responsible adult with them
to assist in activities.
USSI - FIRST PLAY TENNIS CAMP

First Play Tennis is designed to introduce beginner level players to the fundamentals of tennis, including stroke
technique, serving, court awareness and rallying. Activities are delivered in a low pressure, yet energetic
environment, ensuring optimal learning, all the while maintaining the enjoyment factor of being on the tennis
court. “First Play” tennis uses the highly acclaimed QuickStart Tennis format using age appropriate court size
and equipment.
USSI - FIRST PLAY GOLF CAMP

Time: 9:00 A.M. – 10:30 A.M. – ages 5 -7 years

Through the exciting games and challenges they will encounter during the week, a child will increase in
confidence and develop a positive attitude towards the game. All programs will emphasize the rules of golf,
and teach the children how to play in a safe environment while being respectful to others. Children will
experience greater success by using larger golf balls and oversized golf club heads, enabling children to strike
the golf ball more easily and consistently. They will also receive personalized attention from our coaches, who
will be able to guide them and improve the children’s techniques in an active and energetic environment.

The US Sports Institute Multi Sports Camp is the original multi sports camp where your child has the
opportunity to play over 15 different sports from around the world in one fun packed week! With a wide
variety of fun filled activities, each USSI Multi Sport camp offers your child a unique insight into the world of
sport that they’ll never forget. Some sports they will enjoy are baseball, hockey, cricket, volleyball and much
more. In addition to having a great time playing the different sports, children will develop social interaction
and communication skills. All sports are developed through a series of games and activities designed to ensure
learning and most importantly - fun, fun, fun!
