Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness;
come into His presence with singing.
Know that the Lord is God.
It is He that made us and we are His;
we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving,
and His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him, bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His steadfast love endures forever,
and His faithfulness to all generations.

CONFESSION
Almighty and merciful God,
we have erred and strayed
from Your ways like lost sheep.
We have followed too much
the devices and desires of our own hearts.
We have offended against Your holy laws.
We have left undone those things
which we ought to have done;
and we have done those things
which we ought not to have done.
O Lord, have mercy upon us.
Spare those who confess their faults.
Restore those who are penitent,
according to Your promises declared to the world
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
And grant, O merciful God, for His sake,
that we may live a holy, just, and humble life
to the glory of Your holy name.

Living God,
help us so to hear Your holy Word
that we may truly understand;
that, understanding, we may believe,
and, believing,
we may follow in all faithfulness and obedience,
seeking Your honor and glory in all that we do;
through Christ our Lord. Amen.
SCRIPTURE READINGS
Old Testament: Psalm 23 KJV
(Congregation joins in reading)
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
for His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me;
Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me
in the presence of mine enemies:
Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Let Us Love In Deed and Truth
If anyone has the world’s goods, and sees his neighbor in need,
yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him?
Let us not love in word or speech, but in deed and in truth.
By this we shall know that we are of the truth.
We have confidence before our God,
and we receive from Him whatever we ask,
because we keep His commandments, and do what pleases Him.
And this is His commandment, that we should believe in His Son,
Jesus Christ, and love one another.
(11:00)
Gilbert M. Martin
Alas! And Did My Savior Bleed
Alas! And did my Savior bleed, and did my Sovreign die?
Would He devote that sacred head for sinners such as I?
Was it for crimes that I have done, He groaned upon the tree?
Amazing pity! Grace unknown! And love beyond degree!
Well might the sun in darkness hide, and shut its glories in,
when God, the mighty maker, died for His own creature’s sin.
Thus might I hide my blushing face while His dear cross appears;
dissolve my heart in thankfulness, and melt mine eyes to tears.
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found; was blind, but now I see!
But drops of tears can ne’er repay the debt of love I owe.
Here, Lord, I give myself away; ’tis all that I can do.

Go, My Children, with My Blessing
Go, my children, with my blessing, never alone.
Waking, sleeping, I am with you, you are my own,
In my love’s baptismal river I have made you mine forever.
Go, my children, with my blessing, you are my own.
