Scholastic sections open to all chess players in grade school through the 8th grade. Sections broken up by grade and
skill level. Sections begin with the 3rd grade level, but younger players can participate if they are willing to play in
that section. Each section will have approximately 6–10 players and each student will play all the other players in
their section in a round robin format. Trophies awarded to the first three places in each section. All players will leave
with an award. Chess sets will be provided.
Interested adults can help in both the chess & non-chess areas. Use the contact information below to volunteer.

Please arrive at Midland University Event Center before 8:30 a.m. in order to start by 9:00 a.m. Food and
