Woods Festival family to provide encouragement for the arts through education and financial support for
children and young adults from low income and culturally diverse areas.
The Performer is only as good as the contributions we receive from the French Woods community.
Let us know what is going on in your life. Your camp friends love to hear what you are doing. Our

Th e
Dear French Woods Families
The summer calendar is taking shape
and 2015 will be a fantastic camp season. We are firming up the show list
and coming up with new ways to make
your summer even better. The staff has
never come together sooner and we
have some fantastic people coming in
this year. I am so excited to get back to
camp in just a few months!
Larry’s Lines
March Madness is here and it’s not just
basketball! It seems to be the most extreme
winter weather on record. However, spring
is on its way. With spring comes the summer
and with summer comes camp. We need
to know how every child is getting to and
from camp. If your child will be flying to
camp we urge you to make those reservations as soon
as possible. Once you have decided on the means of
transport for your child, please make sure to fill out the
Transportation form on your campintouch dashboard!
If you need help with anything travel related please
email [email protected] or call the office and we
will be happy to help. For everyone in the Polar Vortex,
stay warm and realize that spring is on its way.
A note from Ron
With the coming of spring, camp will
be here before you know it. Have
you started your countdown yet?
Registrations continue to pour in and
we’re glad that French Woods is in your
plans for 2015. If you have any friends
that are interested, have them call today.
Recently we sent out an email blast
about completing important FRENCH
WOODS CAMP ONLINE FORMS through your own
CampInTouch account. Shortly we will begin bunk
placement so it is very important that you specifically fill
out the bunk request form as soon as possible. No
matter which session your child attends, the rest of
the forms must be submitted by May 1st. Please call the
office if you need help with CampInTouch. Again, make
sure you fill out your bunk requests! Don’t assume I
or the office know or that we already have it. We print
out and work directly from these forms, so get them in.
Keep your letters, phone calls, pictures, faxes and
emails coming. We always enjoy hearing from you.
Stay in touch!
Isaac’s Corner
Welcome to French Woods Festival
of the Performing Arts. Your children
are in for a remarkable experience
at a place where magic happens,
where wonderment is the norm, and
growth, learning and fun are the
goals. Many amazing and exciting
adventures await your children at
French Woods.
My name is Isaac, and I am one of the Directors of
French Woods. My job is to make sure that every single
French Woods camper gets the best possible experience
imaginable at camp. Every camper is special and I want
every camper to feel special. I want every camper to
reach beyond their grasp and to achieve the success
that comes with the exposure to the arts and beyond. I
want every child to feel accomplished and self-assured.
I want every camper to have fun in a safe, nurturing
and supportive environment. Fun is the foundation upon
which courage, self-respect and responsibility are built. A
quality camp experience teaches respect for others and
all living things.
I want all of you to know that I am here to make sure that
all of the above happens for your children. I want them
to “get everything” that they came to French Woods to
do. By taking care of our campers “one child at a time,”
we feel we can give each camper the individual attention
he or she needs. I need your help to start your children
on their way to a successful summer experience. Please
be sure to fill out the online Confidential Camper
Questionnaire as soon as possible and let your children
know that while at camp - no matter what they need,
they should simply speak up. They will have counselors,
head counselors, other significant adults and me. Tell
them that if they need anything at all, “they should go to
Isaac.” If you, as parents need me, I am always available
to you by phone. Please feel free to call and ask for me.
Your child’s Head Counselor will keep you informed
about your child’s activities, program and general camp
experience.
