INTRODUCTION
The International Food Safety Training Centre (IFSTC)
Malaysia in collaboration with University of Maryland,
United States is holding a one week lectures and
laboratory demonstration on mycotoxin related with
peanuts in food supply chain. The lectures contain
occurrence and risk analysis, mock-practice on real-time
-case for risk investigation on mycotoxin in food supply
chain focused on peanuts commodities. The laboratory
course is designed to explain the general principles of
mycotoxin method testing content and demonstrates
some rapid techniques that can be applied in the
laboratory according to the current general requirements
especially from United States. The lectures will be given
by the top ranked expert with combined experience of
more than 50 years in mycotoxin.
OBJECTIVE
1.
Understand mycotoxin and risk analysis in food
supply chain in peanuts.
2.
Expose to international trade implication and effect
on economy during occurrence of mycotoxin in food
commodities.
3.
Understand rapid technique
analysis methods for aflatoxins.
