This year’s workshop is hosted by our donor, Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, at their Brussels Office. The workshop is divided into four sessions. The first session explores whether energy market design can ensure security of supply in electricity and gas markets. In the second session, we deal with the problem of asset stranding due to changes in energy systems. The third session looks at antitrust damages in the energy sector both from a legal and an economic perspective. The workshop closes with a session on the recent developments in state aid control, and which focuses on the EU state aid inquiry into capacity mechanisms as well as the Italian Mediaset case on recovery of aid. The four sessions are complemented by a keynote speech by Maroš Šefčovič, Commission Vice-President for Energy Union. ■ Programme 09.00 – 09.15 Registration & welcome coffee 09.15 – 09.30 Welcome and introduction Francisco E.
