What is included within this course? This weekend program will provide 16 hours of didactic (classroom) components to prepare the technologist for the MRI Registry Review. The classroom component of this weekend program will be held every spring, on selected weekends, at a convenient location. Weekend Registry Review for Technologists (RT’s) in MRI includes: Saturday & Sunday “Live Lectures” – 8 hrs each day, for a total of 16 category “A” credits. Virtual component – attendees will have access to one bonus topic of your choice for 6 months, to study and review for the Registry. Course cancellations are rare and would occur no later than 4-6 weeks prior to the scheduled course date. The Faculty: MRI lectures are presented by Carolyn Kaut Roth, more commonly known as “Candi”. Candi is currently the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Imaging Education Associates (IEA). IEA provides live and on-line courseware for the Registered Technologist (RT). Ms Roth has been a registered technologist since 1977, and has worked as an RT in radiology and has specialized in MRI, CT and cardiovascular Imaging. From 1989 until 2006 Ms Roth initiated the MRI Internship program at the University of Pennsylvania and served as Director. Candi was among the founders of the MRI Society for Technologists (Section for Magnetic Resonance Technologists – SMRT). She has served on a number of committees within the society as well as holding the office of President. She has presented literally thousands of lectures in MRI, CT, Mammography, Radiography, and Cardiovascular Imaging in locations including, but not limited to: 48 of 50 United States, Canada, England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and several of the Caribbean Islands. Ms. Roth has authored and coauthored numerous books and publications including the ever-popular “MRI in Practice”.
