Greeting from Service-Learning Center, Fu Jen Catholic University, Taiwan.
The 5th Asia-Pacific Regional Conference on Service-Learning is coming soon. We
hope you are doing well and everything is ready on your end for your trip to Taiwan.

Video-recording & Media Arrangements
There will be video recording and, also the photos will be taken during the conference for
making conference record. The self-published conference newsletter will be given out on
29 May for all the participants to keep as remembrance.

photos can be found there.
Dress Code
Please dress comfortably. Our dress code for conference events is smart casual. Some
programs e.g. the Pre-conference Workshops may be held outdoors, so please bring
appropriate outdoor attire and good walking shoes.
It is summer in Taiwan by the end of May. Humidity is high and rain is common,
please take waterproof outfit as a consideration. Although it will be warm outside,
we would recommend you bringing a light jacket with you, in case the conference
venue might be cool due to the air conditioner.
Travel Insurance Application
The conference committee strongly recommends all Participants to purchase their
own travel insurance before their departure. Please make sure that the insurance
plan you purchased should cover the accidental loss of belongings, medical costs in
case of injury or illness, and other possible risks pertaining to international travel.

Opening Ceremony
It will be held on 28th May 2015 (Thu) at 9:30am. As there are a lot of programs on the day, and
we hope to ensure that they all run smoothly and on schedule, we strongly recommend you to
arrive at the venue, Multi-function International Conference Hall (MD152), latest by 9:15am.

Farewell Dinner
Information for the participants who registered for farewell dinner only!
The transport arrangement is provided, for those who need the shuttle service, please
come and meet the volunteer at the lobby of Paul Cardinal Shen Medical Building at
5:40/6:00pm. Please notice that, if you joined the Fu Jen Campus Tour, you might miss
the transport service. Due to this concern, we will set a volunteer team to walk you to the
dinner venue at 6:10 pm from the main entrance of Fu Jen University. Please take it as a
consideration of taking apart in the campus tour or not.
Hotel Pick-up Service
For participants staying in Chateau de Chine Hotel Only!
The time of pick-up service will be at 8:00 am on 28-29 May.
Participants who wish to use this service should wait in the hotel lobby 5 minutes before the
pick-up time. (The exactly gathering point would be informed by then.) The hotel staff will inform
you when the shuttle bus arrives. The shuttle bus is not waiting for anyone being late!
You may also travel to Fu Jen University by public transportation, which is more flexible for your
time arrangement. For transportation information, please refer to
