TEEN TALK
Summer is here! Some of the youth have already been to Jr. High
CLEW Camp and we are looking forward to a lot more fun this summer.
We will be welcoming four sixth graders – Johnathan Bodenstein, Chloe
Cummins, Jaxon Green, and Emilee Smith – to youth on Wednesday, June
10, at 6:00pm. We will be meeting in the youth lounge and then we will
embark on a scavenger hunt around town. We can’t wait to welcome these
sixth graders to youth! On Saturday, June 13, we will be meeting at the
church at 3:30pm to go to Oklahoma City for an OKC Energy game. We will
stop and eat before the game. We should return home by 10:30pm. On
Wednesday, June 17, we will have a movie night at 6:00pm in the youth lounge. Sunday, June 21, Keagan
Smith and Kelley Ramey will be taking eight youth – Abbagail Agan, Madison Carman, Mason Carman, Jana
Dahlgren, Shayla McCraw, Trenton Moser, Miranda Ramey, and Chris Thompson – to Youth Force Guymon.
We will be gone doing mission work in the Guymon area until Friday, June 26. In July, the high school youth
will be going on a camping and float trip around Tahlequah, OK. We will be leaving at 7:30am on Saturday,
July 11, and returning by 2:00pm on Sunday, July 12. All high school youth that would like to go on this trip
need to be sure and sign up in the youth lounge or let Kelley Ramey know as soon as possible. We have a lot
more summer activities planned! If youth do not want to miss out on these activities they need to be sure and
pick up a calendar from the youth lounge.

These youth and leaders, returned from Jr. High CLEW Camp on Friday, June 5th. The theme of camp
was “Why”. They had a great time would like to thank Joyce Teghtmeyer and their families for
sending them a card while they were there. They would also like to thank Jerilyn Wright for taking and
picking up the youth. Be sure to ask those that went about their camp experience.

GETTING OUTSIDE THE WALLS & “BEING” CHURCH
Get Your Blue Church “Polo” Shirt
In an effort to be responsive to our Annual Conference initiative for local churches, our Missions and
Evangelisms Committees have made commitments to some “new things” for our church this summer.
They have received permission from our Finance Committee to sell blue Polo shirts for $20 each to
church membership. The shirts are a beautiful royal blue color with the United Methodist “Cross & Flame” logo
and our church name on the left-side pocket. The shirts may be secured in the office.
This summer, we (any church members who wish to participate) will be distributing bottled water and
popcorn at the Chamber of Commerce outdoor Movie Night. Our night will be Friday, July 10th . . . come help
us! It should be lots of fun and good exposure for our church.
We will be doing essentially the same thing at an Arts Council event downtown for some outdoor music
venues at Town Centre.
The bottled water is customized with our church name and info printed on the label. We ordered this
water from the Dr. Pepper plant in Elk City; we have 60 cases (24 bottles each case). So . . . we’ve got lots of
water to distribute in the name of the Church!

Thank you for making Special Day even more special. Arlen said it was so good to
celebrate but seeing so many our friends made it more special because it has been so long since
he had seen so many of you.
I want to thank Kevin & Philip for thinking of the celebration Sunday the food & all else.
60 wonderful years with the one you love!
Again thank you if you were there with us or in your thoughts & prayers.
God has truly pleased us with many years together.

I have been learning so much in my training and through my work with Circle of Care. I have recently
learned about the role that Methodists have had in Child Welfare throughout history. It’s an
interesting story and I’d love to have the opportunity to share it with your Sunday school class, church
or civic group.
We have many children in Western Oklahoma that need
good Foster Families while they and their family heal. Not
everyone is meant to be a foster parent but everyone can
help our children (our future). If you know of anyone who
might make a great Foster Parent or if you would like to see
how you can serve these children, contact me and we’ll
make it happen.
