END OF GRADE TEST (EOG)
•
State Required in grades 3-8
• English Language Arts (ELA)
• Math
• Science (5th and 8th only)
 95% Participation Rate Required from Schools
 Scores provide one data point for :
 Student/School grade level proficiency
 Student/School growth
 Teacher Effectiveness
GENERAL EOG INFORMATION
•
Tests are scheduled for 180 minutes
• All students may have up to 240 minutes to complete
•
Tests assess the learning standards in ELA and Math for the entire year
•
Students receive scores from 1-5
• Level 3- minimum grade level proficiency
• Level 4 or 5- indicates strong grade level proficiency and evidence of College
and Career Ready skills
•
Student Proficiency for Promotion
• EOG scores of 1 or 2 will require that a student be reviewed prior to promotion
to the next grade- will review multiple data points to determine readiness
