Man Shall Rise Up
GI611BOL : Inauguration Report

2000 years before, Jesus’ disciple Thomas reportedly came to

1. Man shall rise up to protect the Garden of Eden (Gen 2:8)
Eden refers to "pleasure" and "joy". Man shall keep watch over the
goodness, joy and blessings of Eden. The joy of Eden includes:
India, preached the gospel and was later buried in Chennai. Chennai is
located at the South East of India, being the Capital City of Tamil Nadu. It
was allegedly once a neglected city in India due to its inhabitants rejecting the Hindi language.
A) The Joy of Eating (Gen 2: 8-9)
Apart from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, God allowed man to eat fruit from every tree in the garden. This is the joy
of eating. Only when we eat right, eat well, and eat healthily, can
we experience real joy of eating.
B) The Joy of Increasing (Gen 2: 10-12)
The name of the first river is Pishon, which means increasing. There
is gold, bdellium and onyx stone in Pishon, meaning there is an
increase in wealth.
C) The Joy of Bursting Forth and Breakthrough (Gen 2:13)
Gihon refers to bursting forth, indicating an opening and breakthrough.
D) The Joy of Smooth and Productive Workflow (Gen 2:14)
Tigris refers to speed. It means that the workflow is smooth.
E) The Joy of Fruitfulness (2:14)
Birla refers to harvest, meaning there is fruitfulness. God placed
man in such a wonderful environment. However man allowed the
enemy to seize that wonderful authority. Therefore man shall protect, repair and keep watch over what God has given man.
A total team of 14 persons, led by Rev. Kong and Amos, attended the
Inauguration Ceremony of GI611 BOL at Chennai, India. It was also like a
mission team to experience a total crossover in respect of cultural, racial
and language barriers. The journey to Chennai took 3 ½ flight hours with
time difference of 2 ½ hours. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed
by Ps Boaz and his family members with message boards and flowers.
On our way to GI611 Bread of Life Church, we passed by various towns
and villages, what we could see were old buildings and thatched roof
shacks. We could also see many men idling by these houses, some standing, or sitting or lying around. Then there were the poor living under
flyovers, idols by the roadside, the ubiquitous car hooting one another in
a continuous cacophony….truly India needs our prayers!
We first visited the church of Ps. Boaz’ father. During our first night open
meeting, Rev. Esther paved the way with the core value “First God, then
Man and the earth”.
2. Man Shall Rise Up to Repair and Guard
The garden of Eden symbolizes a man's home and area of authority.
God gave man, husbands and fathers the authority to protect, repair
and guard.
On the next morning, GA and GI teams joined force to clean up the
meeting hall and the new GI Office, and to help purchase needed office
furniture and usual items. The same afternoon saw Rev. Amos and GA
prophetic team ministering to the local GI brothers and sisters. To break
spiritual forces, brothers & sisters were invited to come forward to receive the gift of tongues, followed by the prophetic ministry.
A) Man Shall Rise Up to Work
A man's work is to repair and guard the garden. This means to
block, support and keep watch. Here, work refers to worship. A
man's destiny is to be the protector of his family, to be bold
enough to block and to repair breaches. If a man rises to take responsibility, he'll be able to overcome poverty and support his family.
B) Man Shall Take Up the Authority (Gen 2:19, 3:20)
God allowed Adam to name every living thing. This means man has
the absolute authority to make decisions and lead his wife and
children to follow his decision.
C) Man Shall be Brave to Convey the Truth (Gen 3: 1-5)
When Satan tempted Eve, Adam was just standing beside her. As
Adam remained silent, Eve sinned. Satan manipulated God's attributes, portraying Him as a selfish God. Eve tampered with the word
of God. Adam was the first man to receive the word of God, therefore man should be the first to pursue God's words. Subsequently,
man is to pass down God's words, correct and teach others. Silence
will only contribute to man's weakness and creation of breach.
D) Man Shall Rise to Resist the Enemy (Gen 3:6)
Adam knew very well that he was not to eat the fruit from the tree
of the knowledge of good and evil, yet he was tempted into doing
so. Lacking the courage to reject and resist temptations of sin is
also one of man's weakness and reason for breach.
Our teaching at GI611 was on “How To Be a good Helper”. Classes for
adults and youths were run concurrently at two halls, teachers for adults
being Ps. Philip and Sister Cindy, whilst Ps. Ezekiel focused on youth
class. Ps. Ezekiel took up the challenge to conduct the class in English
thereby unearthing several potential interpreters. Whilst there, we experienced several power supply breaks. Despite the resultant dim light and
stuffiness in the rooms, brothers and sisters remained steadfast till the
end, a testimony to their hunger for God’s word.
The GI611 inauguration ceremony was the true highlight. Some 300
gathered, filling the meeting hall to capacity. Be it a children presentation or worship & praise, it was a time of Indian flavor yet very anointed
of divine presence.
Man is to protect his own home. To be bold in resisting temptations at work and to understand God's words as well as to reject
matters that are against God's will.
The ceremony included ordaining Ps. Boaz as the Senior Pastor of GI611,
Ps. Lydia as his great helper, GA611 formally laid hand on them to bless
them, and to cover them as the mother church.
3. Man Shall Rise Up to be One with His Wife (Gen 2:18, 24-25)
Being alone was not good in God's eyes, therefore he created marriage. God delights in seeing husband and wife become one. As such,
husband and wife is to lay themselves down and keep no secrets
between one another - this is how oneness can be achieved. When
the spousal relationship is good, everything else will fall into place.
This was God's plan for man in the garden of Eden.■【This sermon
Rev. Kong preached a stirring message based on the “Tree of Life and
River” to call them to arise as “trees of life”, becoming the lampstands
in Chennai, and declared the congregation be released into God’s abundance; breaking generational curses and be ushered into God’s blessings. It was truly a memorable historical moment! ■
