will feature the top four scoring high school teams in an
Olympic style poetry slam. This night will feature musical
and dance performances, guest judges and the most talented youth poets in the city. Awards for all competitions

Staircase Theatre: Learn improv comedy in a fun and
supportive environment. Experienced improv comedy
teachers from Staircase Improv will guide participants
through the basics of improv comedy. Don’t be frightened
by the name, Improv Bootcamp is a Beginners drop-in
workshop open to improvisers of all experiences, and
ages. Participants less than 16 years of age require parental accompaniment. Dress in comfortable clothing as
movement is guaranteed. Limited to 16 participants per

nd annual Louder Than a Bomb Canada: Youth Poetry
Festival (“LTABC”), presented by Hamilton Youth Poets,
in partnership with Neighbourhood and Community Initiatives
City of Hamilton, Lynwood/Charlton Hall, Hamilton Community Foundation, and The Hamilton Public Library. The festival
launches on Friday May 1st, 5-8:30pm at City Hall Council
Chambers. Join us for a celebration of young voices, music,
art performance and so much more! A FREE public event; all
welcome! The festival runs from May 1-9 at various venues across Hamilton's downtown core.
