of theatre games, improv exercises, movement
with a full blown production for the world to see
at the end of the month.

spectacular showcase for family and friends.

Bring your favourite object to paint.
Learn design, lighting, brush strokes, colour.
Tuesday: Portrait 101
Learn facial structure and how to portray features
to create your own self-portrait.
Wednesday: Landscape 101
Learn observational skills and how to paint
colourful skies, trees, buildings, etc.
Thursday: Perspective 101
Paint your own nook of the Gibson Centre while
learning how to master perspective angles.
Friday: Composition 101

Visual Arts Program
for Grades 4 - 8
Paint from your imagination! Learn to express
your own ideas in a painting.
We wrap up with an exhibition of artwork at the
end of the week. Then take home your
completed paintings that express your own
unique creativity.

Families are invited to drop by the Gibson Centre
to visit Greg and see his paintings in progress.
Greg mentors an Open Studio painting program
each Tuesday from 10:00 - 3:00 for all levels and
ages to receive individual guidance in developing
their artwork.
Greg is a local practicing visual artist and
instructor with over 30 years teaching
experience, including 25 years at the Ontario
College of Art and Design. Through the Ontario
Arts Council’s Artists In Education program,
he teaches a curriculum-based painting program
for grades 4 - 8 in elementary schools. Greg has a
passion for teaching and believes that kids gain
confidence and valuable skills while exploring,
imagining and creating through art!
March Break Visual Arts
Create your own acrylic paintings using
professional artists’ materials provided.
Explore brush strokes, colour mixing, and
painting techniques, through daily themes,
with Artist in Residence, Greg Hindle.
