Summary
This is a case where the existing metal halide lighting in a Slovakian automobile production factory was replaced with eco-friendly LED lighting.
This project demonstrated a case of replacing the lighting in the largest
single factory in Europe and enhancing work efficiency along with improving the environment of the workplace by not only achieving energy
savings, but by boosting the illumination index that falls below the EN
Standard (300 Lux).
In the future, the second phase of lighting replacement will take place at
the same company.
Project
Existing lighting consisted of metal halide 400W(450W _including driver),
and each existing fixture was replaced with a Gigatera’s LED bay lighting
SEGA 130W product.
With the region divided into 7 sections a total of 3,408 existing fixtures
were replaced with LED products that achieved results of greater than
71% in energy savings and more than 60% in illumination enhancement
completely satisfying illumination standards under the EN Standard, and
realizing a nearly 30% increase in the color rendering index that brought
the light quality closer to natural light making it possible to clearly make
out objects. The tidal wave of benefits included the incredible effects
of groundbreaking improvements in the work environment, increased
efficiency, and quality improvements.
