In his book Get Up Stay Up, author Danny Crofts
has put together the bombproof how-to manual
of graffiti writing. Crofts breaks it all down with
the basics for every mission with solid advice on
how to keep a low profile during night time bombing runs, select proper clothing and find the right
paint and caps to pull off tight graffiti pieces. In his
introduction to Get Up Stay Up Crofts states “Graffiti writers have established themselves in almost
every corner of the world. Even in places too inhospitable to provide a regular home, artists have
found ways to exploit its potential.” Now those
aspiring graffiti writers looking to get into the game can benefit from Crofts’ knowledge and insight about how to beautify their little inhospitable corner of the world.

Banksy in New York
Banksy
You are an acceptable level of threat...
Banksy is the closest thing we have to Che Guevara.
Except, as far as we know, he’s never flunked medical school, shot anyone or attempted to foment revolution in the Congo. You will find, gathered lovingly
together, in this book - the single best collection of
photography of Banksy’s street work that has ever
been assembled for print. Much to the chagrin of
art schools everywhere, it is likely that Banksy will
be the best remembered artist of post-millennialdepression Britain. His capacity to grab attention
and deliver a message, often with a punch line or
hidden layer of meaning would have landed him a
great job in an advertising agency. If you’ve never heard of Banksy, this book is all you’ll
ever need to read to be able to engage in pub table debates about the man and the legend.
This book is about Banksy’s prolific work on the streets, which for the most part has been lost
to future generations through greed or the dreaded buff. Consequently, this book seeks to
concentrate on his iconic imagery spanning the past decade, from Los Angeles to Lewisham (and
everywhere in between), including many images never before seen. And now with his latest
work added into the mix.
Photographer Ray Mock takes you along on his
exciting hunt for new Banksy work during the famous “Better Out Than In” project in his new book
Banksy in New York. This personal narrative offers a
day-by-day account of Banksy’s first New York residency, chronicling works that include “Sirens of the
Lambs” and the Central Park stand at which original works by Banksy were sold for only $60. Mock’s
work captures not only Banksy’s artwork but the
reactions of the public and media frenzies that often accompanied it, giving fans a direct window
into the frenetic scavenger hunt that took over New
York City in October 2013. Banksy in New York offers a closer look at Banksy’s witty and irreverent
art and the varied responses it received, while lending insight into the artist’s sharp social
commentary. This book is a must-have for those new to the scene and Banksy fanatics alike.

Banksy Myths & Legends 2
No single living artist has created as many myths,
rumours and legends as Banksy. In 2011 Bristol
based writer Marc Leverton teamed up with Carpet Bombing Culture to bring a collection of the
best of these stories together.
Since then the Banksy juggernaut has continued
to roll on spewing out sharp satire, unintentional furores, blatant profiteering, and many more
myths and legends. Plus the odd bit of art. For
many the smoke and mirrors which surround
Banksy are as fascinating as the artwork of the
21st century’s most important living artist. The
first edition contained 58 ‘Banksy stories’, many
of which have been subsequently verified as being bona fide. Others have remained slightly more
tenuous. The second edition takes the same approach. We collect the stories, the reader can
judge for themselves.
Marc Leverton is a freelance writer based in Bristol, England. Bristol is Banksy’s reputed
hometown where he still continues to set tongues wagging as the recent shenanigans
over ‘Mobile Lovers’ proved.
The writer collects the stories from contacts and friends in the city and Banksy fans
worldwide. The small black book format is an homage to Banksy’s own first books which
are now out of print. Both Volume One and Volume Two reproduce high quality images of
Banksy’s street work and other items of interest to Banksy fans.

Juxtapoz Wild
Dopress Books
Favorite Juxtapoz artists fill the pages of Juxtapoz Wild
with portrayals of beasts great and small. No spotted elephants or pink balloon poodles. Banish any thoughts of
grapes and dead game on a platter. These paintings evoke
the full range of Mother Earth’s creatures as they both murmur and roar amongst the foggy haze and moss-covered
reaches of her landscapes. Artists like Sage Vaughn, Josh
Keyes, Laura Ball, Martin Wittfooth, Andreco, and Cathie
Bleck give shape, vibrant color, and shades of meaning to the most humble or humbling creatures. Wild is a
book to enjoy and study as it depicts the furry and feathered beauty made ever more fragile in our changing world.

R. Buckminster Fuller, Jerome Agel and Quentin Fiore
I Seem to Be a Verb
Buckminster Fuller’s explorations as an architect, engineer,
philosopher and futurist are extended into experimental
book form through his collaboration with “producer” Jerome
Agel and designer Quentin Fiore. I Seem to Be A Verb’s utopian
plans, clever insights and light-hearted musings rub elbows
with revelatory and often jolting reminders that we are in
motion, full of impulsive nerves, flowing blood and constant
thought. This fun and challenging book is packed with images,
dense layouts and narratives reading both front to back and
in reverse. All this to remind us that we are verbs, not nouns!
Buckminster Fuller was awarded 25 patents, invented the geodesic dome, the dymaxion car and was expelled from Harvard
twice. I Seem to Be a Verb was originally published in 1970.
“I am convinced that creativity is a priori to the integrity of
the universe and that life is regenerative and conformity meaningless.” R. Buckminster Fuller.

Art of the Book
Structure, Material, and
Technique
The book is dead; long live the book! Despite critics’
claims that technology has dealt a death-blow to this
centuries old art form, Art of the Book proves that the
bound book is indeed alive and well. A comprehensive
guide to printed volumes, this title not only features
finished projects but also profiles the techniques and
materials of book making as well as definitions of the
terminology. Organized in chapters Structure, Material, and Technique, the pieces within have been handstitched, bound in velvet, laser-cut, and silkscreened;
they were designed to be scratched, shaken, and torn,
or coveted, protected, and gently explored. They include a 100-meter long leporello-folded photographer’s monograph.

Marshall McLuhan
McLuhanBound
Essays edited by Richard Cavell
Media studies has been catching up with McLuhan over the
last 50 years. These essays are drawn from the most productive
quarter-century of his career (1952-1978), and demonstrate his
abiding interest in the materiality of mediation, from comic
books to fashion, from technology to biology. Anchoring these
essays are four meditations on the work of his great predecessor, Harold Adams Innis, who first proposed the centrality
of mediation to every facet of our daily lives. McLuhan took
this task literally; rejecting the specialist approach of academic study, he published in mainstream magazines such as
Look and Harper’s Bazaar on topics such as sexuality and the
fashion industry, in each case bringing to these topics insights that remain startlingly fresh.

Carts on Wheels
Graphic Express
Come along for the ride as Wheel & Deal – Carts on
Wheels tours the broad range of mobile establishments
roaming the world’s roads, parks, and greenways. Five
chapters divide the traveling outfits based on how
they are propelled, whether entirely human-powered,
bicycle-driven, carried in cars, hauled by trucks, or
ferried to and fro by public transportation. Projects
featured include solar-powered ice cream carts, easily transportable folding homes for the homeless, the
irreverent “pedal-powered Popemobile,” Chicago CTA’s
Art on Track public transportation turned art gallery,
and San Francisco’s much-loved “Curry Up Now” food truck. Readers will also find pop-up
fashion shops, tiny self-contained offices, and an amazing variety of kitchens on wheels.
The humble box has come a long way from its origins as nondescript packaging. Box it Up – Graphic
Express demonstrates the multitude of ways cardboard, wood, and other boxes and crates have
flourished in mediums beyond simple wrapping and
storage. Installations featuring multicolored storage containers, reusable cardboard furniture, and
cardboardpop-up showcased in chapters “Stack it
Up,” “Open it Up,” and “Wrap it Up.” Projects as
small as to-go fondu kits, large as fully functional
cardboard theatrical stages, friendly as blocky cardboard friends and sophisticated as Nike shoeboxes
modeled after 1980s boom boxes fill the pages, documented with bright, high-quality images. Full of constructions that are imaginative and downright fun, Box it Up
proves that when it comes to innovative design, the “humble box” is incredibly versatile.

Translucency in Design
In a departure from the realm of pure chromatic
design, this surprising new volume in Victionary’s
bestselling Palette series investigates the use of
transparency in design. From crystal clear translucency through a full range of opaque treatments,
designers use the latest in materials and printing
techniques to create interest and mystery. From the
whimsical to the ingenuous, the designs conceal or
reveal, incorporating color, pattern and typography in this interplay of layers. Some are interactive, requiring the participation of the consumer
or even light itself to produce the desired effect. Other designs quietly demonstrate their visual power, appealing to our innate sense of wonder. Includes a diverse assemblage of examples from the fields of architecture, fashion, print, product, packaging design and more.

Paper Matters
Illustrative Branding
The possible variations in weight, pliability, color, and
texture make paper one of the most versatile materials
to work with. The creativity and ingenuity of artists and
designers coupled with technological advances result
in dynamic and original works that redefine the limits
of the medium. From printed sheets to 3D constructions, brand identity suites to contemporary artwork,
PAPER MATTERS examines a span of design and crafts
that maximize the narrative potential of paper. Images
of the featured works are accompanied by information
on the brands and paper employed. Designs for Paul
Smith, Paperless Post, Acne and many more are included.
Power branding with illustration. A successful visual
brand identity is more than a logo and a dynamic palette.
While a minimalistic approach ensures a straightforward
brand image, the new generation of designers sees greater
potential in creating brand identities with original paintings, handmade drawings and collage art. This fresh direction is especially effective in today’s overcrowded market.
Illustrative Branding investigates close to 100 firms both
large and small from around to the world to look at how
designers capitalize on the power of illustration to portray memorable brand stories. Specific case studies highlight sizeable brand campaigns.

Design with Animal Aesthetics
Design with Plant Aesthetics
Some of the earliest examples of figurative art in existence
are representations of animals. Whether wild as predator or
prey, or domesticated for food or companionship, animals
have played an important role in our lives throughout human history. It is no surprise then that their very forms
can be imbued with so much meaning. Animal Kingdom, the
first volume in the new series Untamed Graphics explores
the wide variety of graphic depictions of animals in contemporary design. From branding and packaging, to product design and installation art the examples showcase the
diversity as well as universality of their appeal.
Some are gestural or abstract, designs that merely hint at
their iconic features, others are highly stylized reflecting the voice of the artist or the needs of
the market or client. From animalistic typography, to boutique window displays – insect identification apps to larger than life sculptures of stalking tigers, the range of scale is staggering
with as many variations as there are species on earth.

Graphical User Interface Design
RSVP
Invitation Design
As technology has rapidly advanced, so too has the way we
use and interact with it. Gone are the days of flat black
backgrounds dotted with blocky green text; now, users
expect a massive range of colors, layouts, and fonts to
be used to entertain and assist them in their daily lives.
GUI Design assembles the best of recent graphic user interface for a collection that provides practical encouragement for those new to the world as well as inspiration
for experienced designers. The book gathers Twitter’s Vine
video creation app for Windows phones, the vulgar-yetamusing Authentic Weather app, an application designed
to help tourists follow the physical and ideological path
of the Iron Curtain, and more to showcase programs that
balance information flow with user experiences and highlight the creativity, inspiration, and
expressive techniques used in their design. The projects within demonstrate the increasingly
significant role of user interfaces in both design and our everyday lives in the modern world.
More than 100 invitations are gathered in RSVP – Invitation Design, a collection of enticing event announcements from around the world. The designs inside reveal personal and professional invitations too special
to be delegated to pre-printed cards or generic digital
notifications. Some embody the nature of the event,
such as an architectural invitation printed on blueprints, or the announcement of a fashion film festival
printed on transparent paper that resembles film stock.
Others serve to reflect a celebration’s setting, such as
an outdoor wedding invitation that can be folded
into a cozy cardstock teepees. And some simply provide a fun and memorable nudge for the recipient to join in the festivities, as seen in a
connect-the-dot invitation that has to be played to reveal the event’s details. With an eye
for detail and passion for unique materials as well as intricate design, the pieces featured
help to prove that sometimes an invitation can be just as exciting as the event itself.

1000 Details in
Architecture
Landscape Installation
Art II
1000 Details in Architecture was created to be an
invaluable resource for architects, designers, and
constructors. With fifteen chapters organized into
structures, facades, roofs and decks, horizontal and
vertical connections, enclosures, finishings, framework and glassware, ironwork and blinds, installations, lighting, new technologies, miscellaneous, environmentalism and sustainability, water features,
and landscape design, this book is a visual encyclopedia and a reference catalog rolled into one. Infrastructure from private and public architecture, covering homes, parking structures, commercial
areas, office spaces, parks, and museums is captured with carefully curated photography that
picks out hidden details or allows for space to show the overall effect of architectural techniques. Featured projects come from a worldwide selection of architectural endeavors, including
a natural wooden walkway through Chilean hot springs, skylights in the Guggenheim Museum
in New York City, and the colorful Agbar Tower building in Barcelona.
A 100 square meter flower pavilion that roams central
London; delicate golden rice illuminated to honor the king
of Thailand in Bangkok; a heart in Times Square made of
planks from boardwalks destroyed by Hurricane Sandy; an
entire 65 foot tall tree in Illinois left whole and turned into
a swing set, picnic area, and snack kiosk. All of these projects and dozens more are on display in Landscape Installation Art II, a collection of public installations both large and
small from locations worldwide. The installations inside are
made with public interaction in mind, representing their location and the hopes and cultures
of locals, and inspiring passers-by to stop and explore the neighborhood or just pause, put
their feet up, and take some time to think. Bursting with stunning photography, the book also
includes precise diagrams and text detailing each piece from conception through construction,
making Landscape Installation Art II as informative to peruse as it is creatively stimulating.

Landscape Bridges
Bridges are at once a departure and an arrival, an opportunity to cross over to a new land and begin again. Perhaps that
is why they are imbued by such magic, stirring our imagination through the possibilities of renewal as well as their myriad forms. Landscape Bridges showcases some of the most
innovative designs of recent years for pedestrian and bicycle
bridges and elevated footpaths. Whether over water, earth,
road or vegetation, many of the same design challenges apply, challenges that are met and vanquished by these sometimes award winning designs. While categorized by main
material component– iron, wood and hybrid – the permutations of form are endless from the highly organic or sinuous, to
modern geometric and linear forms. Some connect parks and public spaces, others residential and commercial zones. The Alexandra Arch & Forest Walk in Singapore allows pedestrians to walk among the treetops, while the Moses bridge in the
Netherlands literally parts the water ahead of its visitors. Prepare to be enthralled.

Residential Garden
Design
Residential Garden Design draws our attention to the important role outdoor living environments play in the quality of our daily lives. Three types of garden are highlighted,
starting with a stunning variety of gardens and landscapes
for private houses around the world; the second chapter reinforces the value of community garden areas for a range
of dwellings from mixed-use residences to townhouses and
boutique apartment complexes; the final chapter looks at
the profound balance these outdoor garden spaces can bring
to our personal well-being and that of the local environment
when ecological concerns are placed highest on the list. The
book highlights the elements of residential gardens in the planning, design and innovation
covering gardens of all shapes and sizes, textures, plants and various materials through the private, community based and ecological designs showcased. Specific garden features and concerns
such as lighting, privacy, sustainability, regional characteristics, sensory experience, local ecology and native plantings are fully illuminated with plans and lush photography throughout.

Prefab Houses
Historically a response to the need for low cost housing, the
design of prefab dwellings was often practical and uninspired - modular units which were easy to construct and
functional rather than attractive. Many were intended
only for temporary use and as such seen as disposable architecture. Not so anymore. A new generation of designers
and architects have elevated the status of prefab houses
to showcases of great design and efficient use of space.
From jungle to seashore, farm to city, the projects featured reveal the versatility of these structures in responding to a client’s needs and the variability of climate and site. One house floats over a Costa Rican rainforest, a tree house out of a dream. Another is sheathed with a metallic fabric
membrane and resembles a futuristic Bedouin tent. Others are more traditional, but no less
inspired – permanent residences as well as vacation retreats that are a wonder to behold.

Small & CHIC Interiors
We are entering a new era of sustainable design where the
pressures of changing climate patterns and dwindling resources have led to a burst of creativity in green technology. Perhaps the most surprising recipients of this increased
attention are skyscrapers, buildings historically seen as
pillars of vanity. New projects make use of the latest advances in lighting and climate control to make them as
energy efficient as possible. From the Edgar Street Towers
which incorporate fiber-optics to transmit daylight into
the building, to Torre Iberdrola in Bilbao whose bioclimatic
skin has helped earn it high ratings from the U.S. Green
Building Council. Not restricted solely to exemplars of
green design, Skyscraper examines as well recent projects
around the globe that are innovative in other ways with regards to materials, structure, texture and color. Includes such iconic buildings as One World Trade Center and work by such
world leaders as Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture and Skidmore Owings & Merrill.
While tiny homes are rapidly becoming a necessity in our
over-growing world, they’re also a creative outlet, an opportunity for designers and architects to test their ingenuity and flex their aesthetic muscle. The 54 homes and
apartments in Small & CHIC Interiors demonstrate these
traits, showing the trends, new creations, and groundbreaking ideas currently flourishing in micro interior design. By utilizing every inch of space in ways that are not
just practical but aesthetically pleasing, the designers of
Small & CHIC interiors turn potentially cramped, gloomy
homes into comforting spaces full of air and light. A sample of the ambitious projects include
a medieval granary on the outskirts of Rome converted to modern living quarters, a cozy and
compact home on a secluded island in the North Sea, a Bulgarian apartment renovated on a
budget of only 500 Euros, and a single-room Manhattan studio given new dimension by a large
piece of folding furniture that converts to dividing walls, storage space, and a work station.

Moki
Shelter
Shelter presents the most recent work of artist Moki,
author of How to Disappear (Gingko Press, 2010). The
small format paintings at first seem to be done in
marquetry. Upon close inspection though the twigs
and veins are painted in detail to simulate wood.
The shelter theme is evoked by images of paper and
cardboard huts, children’s tree houses,
places
for
temporary cover or refuge, homeless people wrapped in patchwork blankets, sometimes behind masks -- and other forms
of improvised hiding constructed from found materials and
refuse. The mysterious simulation and juxtaposing of various wooden surfaces add a sense of camouflage. This combination of imagery (refuge) and faux marquetry (wood) restores our essential perception of the nature of shelter, as an
existential element of life, both pictorially and perceptively.

Alex Pardee’s Doppelgängers
Zerofriends co-founder Alex Pardee returns with a collection
of some of the most horrifying and iconic characters of film,
video games and comics with Doppelgangers. The monograph
displays a parade of serial killers, demons, aliens and psychopaths, from early Universal monsters in melancholy black
and white to modern horrors captured in full bloody color. The
freaks of cult classics rub shoulders
with the slick killers of modern blockbusters, all captured with Pardee’s
signature deranged style and a sense
of childlike delight. Nostalgia and
terror mix with the blood, guts and
slime that drip from the collection’s
pages, but above all, Pardee’s tongue-in-cheek humor shines through,
with characters like Space Balls’ Dark Helmet jostling for space alongside
the Thing, Hannibal Lector and Godzilla. In Doppelgangers, Pardee invites us to get cozy with the evil twins and dark doubles of pop culture.

I Know You’re Somewhere
San Francisco based artist Ian Johnson has been busy since
his 2008 monograph Beauty is a Rare Thing. Six solo shows
and a group exhibition later, this new book from Paper Museum Press presents all-new paintings and drawings by Johnson in his signature style: portraits of jazz musicians from
the ‘40s, ‘50s, and ‘60s that were produced using gouache,
acrylic, or pen on paper or wood panel. Creative geometric
compositions of space and color unfold in unexpected ways to express the tone of each musician’s output, while detailed line work represents nuances of feeling in these past visionaries’
facial expressions and body language. Ian Johnson is also the art director of Western Edition

F. Scott Hess
Throughout his 40 year career F Scott Hess has
painted against the grain of the contemporary
art world. In this comprehensive monograph, we
witness Hess steadfastly going his own way. In
the 80s, a period in which conceptual art was favored, he emphasized figurative work with narrative themes. His rebellious nature is further exposed as his career progresses and he confronts
and explores societal taboos. Although much of Hess’ subject matter is challenging, he also
employs humor to great end, leavening work that is sometimes very dark. His stylistic influences are many, reflecting both his formal studies and his extensive travels. During his time
studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, he received the Theodor Körner award. In the
1990s, he spent a year in residency in Iran on a J. Paul Getty Fellowship. More recently Hess
painting was chosen as the cover art for the book Realismus in Der Bildenden Kunst (Realism in the Visual Arts – Europe and N. America 1830 – 2000, Gebr. Mann Verlag, 2013). He has
shown with galleries the world over and currently resides in Los Angeles, California, USA.

artistic journey. Originally trained as biochemist, Brookes
initially favored figurative forms when he first veered into
his art career. Over time his paintings became ever more
vibrant and abstract. Psychedelic Space is concerned exclusively with documenting Kelsey’s more recent paintings, explosive renderings that are equally plausible
as photos of the cosmos or subatomic particles. In this
case however, they’ve sprung directly from the mind
of this evocative artist. Brookes is based in San Diego,
California and has shown with Lazarides Gallery in
London and most recently with Library Street Collective in Detroit and Quint Contemporary in La Jolla.

Mary Iverson
Containment and Dissaray
As a painter and public artist, Mary Iverson creates surreal
and involving tableaus with her work. These paintings often
portray the collision of the natural world and humankind’s
exploitive and commercial endeavors in a fashion that is
at once metaphorical and literal. Within Containment and
Disarray, container ships collide with national parks in post
apocalyptic scenarios as part of her quest to raise “questions
about the ultimate destination for all this growth.” This volume is a career-spanning survey
predominantly featuring her paintings over found photographs and objects. Galleries in Seattle,
Los Angeles, San Francisco, Copenhagen, Singapore, and Munster, Germany represent Iverson.

Magic of Lines
Hanzi • Hanja • Kanji
Lines play a vital role in illustration composition. While they’re often seen as simply the most basic of illustrative forms, lines are
used to create illusions of space, detail contours of shapes, and
convey rich emotion and style in artwork. Magic of Lines displays
the line’s rich diversification in
forms, and its vehement and
unique expressiveness in illustrated works. It includes
elaborate introductions as

New Typography with
Chinese Characters
Deeply rooted in Chinese history and adapted widely in various Asian language systems, modern Han characters are principally pictograms, phonograms, or compounds of these units.
While conventional typefaces and Chinese calligraphy are still
extensively used in daily communication, many young designers are committed to recreating these age-old logograms,
combining bold graphics with the merits of traditions to let
them speak beyond the original words. With excellent examples from China, Japan, Singapore, Korea and other locations, HANZI • HANJA • KANJI reviews the contemporary craft of Han
characters in different cultures. Includes a broad variety of published and experimental work.
Kofie
Onward / Upward
Onward / Upward traces the fascinating trajectory of Augustine Kofie’s work, from his early figurative pieces executed in an illustrative style with emphasis on the figure,
to his more recent forays into geometric forms and abstraction using collage and found images. Sketches, initial drawings and a grouping of paintings on clipboards
give a strong sense of not only the working process of this
incredible artist, but help document how he achieves such
enduring finished paintings. KOFIE’s background growing up as a graffiti writer in Los Angeles in the 1990s has further informed his amazing outdoor murals, including a featured signature piece from Mexico City. Augustine has exhibited his work in Milan, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Paris, Tokyo, Cape Town, Miami, Glasgow,
London, Vancouver, Berlin, Basel, Melbourne and beyond. Edition is limited to 1000 copies.

Raw, brazen and totally intense: This collection of frenetic flyers
produced for the American punk scene between 1977 and 1985. Many
were created by the musicians themselves, and demonstrate the punk
scene’s emphasis on individuality and the manic urge of its members to destroy and create things anew. Images were complied out of

while still warm to the nearest telephone pole in order to warn the world about next week’s

Distinctive hand lettering is an essential skill for artists and designers, and
graffiti is one of the last reservoirs of highly refined, well practiced penmanship. The most reviled and persecuted form of Graffiti, the Tag, is seldom
appreciated for the raw beauty of its skeletal letter forms. Most tags are
removed immediately, and the casual viewer seldom has a chance to discern
the difference between entry level and advanced hand styles. Within the pages of Flip the Script, author Christian Acker systematically analyzes the best
graffiti hand styles, contextualizing the work of graffiti writers TAKI 183, STAYHIGH 149, HAZE, CORNBREAD, ESPO, AGUA, RENOS, GREY, DUGONE, MIKE GIANT, CHAZ BOJORQUEZ, SLICK, & CRAIG STECYCK.

Identity Suite
Visual Identity in Stationery
Identity Suite captures the vanguard work in branding from across
the globe. Here logos, letterhead, business cards and correspondence
designs effectively capture the aesthetics of the products and entities they represent. The designers behind each of the 97 featured
brands convey their clients’ corporate identity through stationery
with deliberation and concision. The latter portion of the book features in-depth case studies tracking seven companies’ successful
ventures in brand extension through creative use of stationery.
From Wanderlust, the Singapore design hotel, to S.J.C., creator of unique domestic art objects in Sweden, Identity Suite demonstrates how ephemeral concepts surrounding a brand
can be harnessed and made concrete utilizing as unlikely a toolkit as the office supply closet.
The follow-up to the bestselling Paper Works, this title continues the exploration of paper as the ultimate artists’ material.
From an award-winning documentary to a nationally touring museum exhibition, paper is no longer a blank canvas for other media, but the media itself. Follow artists and designers from around
the world who cut, fold and sculpt paper to new heights of creativity, developing new techniques, which open up doors of expression. In two or three dimensions, full color or monochromatic,
the effects are limitless. Some designs are geometric, creating
real or imagined cityscapes – others gestural tracing the fluidity of a jellyfish’s tentacles.

Installation Art Now
Food Player
The follow-up volume to our bestselling 2011 title Installation Art,
this is the most impressive collection of renowned avant-garde installation pieces to-date. Only top-tier projects are featured, including biennale pieces from many different countries. Interior
gallery and museum installations encourage poetic new ways of
looking at enclosed space, while exterior projects on both large
and small scales astound through their dramatic use of materials and reinvent the urban and rural built environment. Pink balloons are suspended in rows above the main thoroughfare of a major
city, a prism of colored threads hung in the air makes an otherwise blasé staircase magical.
With the rise of influential new chefs and restaurateurs, the birth of
first-class boutique magazines and an ever growing list of cooking
shows, food is a trend. This expanded awareness has fueled a renaissance in the way we see or interact with food or its image through
the visionary achievements of select artists and designers. The familiar parental admonishment, “Don’t play with your food!” has not
stopped the designers featured in this new expose of food inspired
arts. The scale and variety of projects is impressive. Features typography, jewelry & furniture design, kitchenware, photography and, oh yeah, food!
