Great Lakes SUNA #303 Presents Underactive Bladder Please join us for a complimentary dinner and nursing education program on Underactive Bladder (UAB) provided by the Aikens Center for Neurourology Research at Beaumont Health System. UAB is defined as a contraction of reduced strength and/or duration resulting in prolonged bladder emptying and/or a failure to achieve complete bladder emptying within a normal time span. UAB symptoms commonly include hesitancy, sensation of incomplete emptying, and straining to void, but may also include other lower urinary tract symptoms that are individualized and vary in severity. UAB is prevalent and increases in incidence with age, although its precise epidemiology is uncertain due to some definitional issues. Please RSVP to Ann Robinson at (248) 551 –0542 or [email protected]. Date April 15, 2015 Presenters Michelle Lajiness, FNP-BC & Michael B.
