Part Time Available ( up to 35 hours per week) POSITION: Clubhouse Associate Beverage Cart Operator REPORTS TO: Clubhouse Manager EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY SUMMARY: The Clubhouse Associate is responsible for providing prompt and courteous food and beverage service to guests in the restaurant and on the golf course ensuring guest satisfaction. The Clubhouse associate functions within legislative requirements, regulations, policies and procedures and the Mission, Beliefs and Vision of the Garden River First Nation, and contributes to the accomplishment of the strategic priorities. PREFERENCE GIVEN TO GARDEN RIVER FIRST NATION MEMBERS DUTIES & RELATED TASKS: • • • • • • • • • • • Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses. Setting of the dishes and silverware in the order of which meal will be served first; Directing customers to their tables, presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selection, informing customers about food preparation details Communicating specific customer needs to the cooks Staying updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed Wipe down all condiment containers before the next customer is seated; Operate golf cart on golf course serving customers; Maintain accurate inventory of food and drink supplies used on cart; Restock drink coolers and food cupboards; Obtaining revenues, issuing receipts, accepting payments, returning the change. QUALIFICATIONS: • • • • • • • • • • Must have Smart Serve Certificate (legal age to serve alcoholic beverages) Must have Safe Food Handling Certificate; Previous Food and Beverage experience an asset; Knowledge of Point-of-Sale system/operation an asset; Ability to work under pressure; Ability to work independently and as a part of a team; Ability to lift/unload/move food supplies and must be able to lift up to 50 - 100 lbs.; Ability to make every customer feel more welcome at our course than anywhere else; Must be willing to work flexible hours and/or shift work; Must be willing to provide a CPIC as condition of employment and be free of criminal record Interested applicants can email or drop off their resume and cover letter by April 27,2015 at 12:00pm.
