This week Laura is heading to the Christian Alliance for
Orphans (CAFO)conference here in Nashville.
The Christian Alliance for Orphans unites more than 140
respected Christian organizations and a national network
of churches. They work together on joint initiatives to
inspire and equip Christians to reflect God’s heart in
caring for orphans in adoption, foster care and global
orphan care initiatives. Read

Laura's mom, aka Grandma, will be coming for the
conference too. This whole area of fighting for the cause
of orphans has been a deep desire in Laura since
her early days of missions and seeing it as she grew up in
New York. Her parents always had their doors open
to hosting foster child (60 plus) which later led to them
adopting 7 child over the last 40 years.

HFI POSITIONED TO GO DEEPER IN WV
A new season of receiving teams in West Virginia has begun.
The new season brings fresh vision and hope for the future of
the community Hope Force International (HFI) is serving.
From the beginning as HFI came to McDowell county West
Virginia with hearts to serve and learn about an area that has
seen decades of decline, isolation and hardship.
2015 is a new season as our staff in West Virginia has grown.
July 2014 saw Jack and Svea Shriner join our staff. Their
presence allowed our program Director Craig Snow to pursue
deeper relationships with community, county and state
leaders with hearts to see the region prosper. This July we
will see more staff join our work in West Virginia, The Wagner
Family. Brian has a history of bringing his youth groups to
serve alongside Craig and the work of Hope Force. We are
excited as we wait for their arrival. The pictures are of the
HFI staff house being rehabbed from the ground up. This will
be home for the Wagner family.
Once a house that had no hope is being renewed through
volunteers and donated funds. The neighbors in hollower #5
are seeing a daily transformation right before their very eyes.

Bad news, our family has shrunk by three. Our chickens
though they were free range but our neighbors dogs had
other ideas :-(
Just a few more weeks of the school, the teacher is counting
the days!
