Laying Foundations for a Broken World
Dear Friends,
It’s a Team effort...BECAUSE YOU CARED Gospel Echoes is able to
send ministry teams, bringing hope to the forgotten men and women in
prisons all across this country, again this year. BECAUSE YOU SHARED
sacrificially we were able to print enough Bible Studies to actually
have literature in stock, ready to be shipped as the orders come in.
BECAUSE YOU VOLUNTEERED we were able to minister to body, as well as spirit, adding
a new dimension to the ministry as we grilled hamburgers for a meal at a weekend Rally
in several prisons in Indiana, Ohio, and Oklahoma, demonstrating God’s love by reaching
entire populations. BECAUSE YOU BAKED COOKIES this Christmas, we are able to let men
and women know they are not forgotten...and that Jesus loves them. Christmas is the loneliest
and hardest time of year for those behind bars. Some have said that we are their only visit
for the year. BECAUSE YOU GAVE YOUR TIME to grade lessons and make encouraging
comments, thousands of inmates were able to build on Christ, the true foundation for their
life, through the Bible Studies, and to earn a Bible with their name on the cover. BECAUSE
YOU CAME to our services we were able to share the vision and thereby increase the
laborers in the harvest fields of our nation’s prisons. Society has forgotten them. The
system has given them a number, but Jesus knows their name! BECAUSE YOU OPENED
YOUR HOMES and hearts and churches our teams were refreshed and strengthened and
encouraged to keep on sharing the good news of Jesus Christ to prison inmates. It’s on
behalf of these prisoners that I’m asking you to consider supporting the ministry of Gospel
Echoes. You can help us carry the wonderful message of salvation. Jesus said, “I was in
prison, and you came unto me.” Thanks for being part of the Team!

The chaplain at my prison just gave me an address book from you guys – and thank
you! I didn’t realize how spiritually hungry and lost I was. I was raised a Christian and somewhere along the lines I stumbled or should I say I fell. I feel like the
prodigal son who has come home. I have rededicated my life
to Christ, and I am overcome with peace. I have
some major health issues also, and I have turned
my issues to the hands of our Father. I have just
received a NIV Bible, and I have been devouring
passages from it. I do think I need a little direction

I’m a 36 year old woman who is staying in the California
Institution for Women, and I’ve been locked up four
years but here where I am now for only 1 year 8
months. I am in need for something in my life,
and I don’t have a clue as to where to go. I feel
lost, and I don’t have anyone in front or behind
me, and I seem to always be falling and getting
up but always alone and for a long time. I keep
being told to ask the Lord for the love of the Lord.
Okay, so I‘m praying and part of me doesn’t know
who I’m talking to and, if I’m not so frustrated at
