Planned Outings for year 2015.
All outings are weather permitted. As we know Mother Nature rules. Not every member will be able
to make every outing likewise not every outing will be attended by every officer of our group. If you
are going to be taking a day trip and want company advise and we will be sure to get it out so others
can enjoy the outdoors.

Rancho San Rafael Regional Park - Reno
For the Explore the Outdoor event we will not be doing GOLD PANNING as the park removed the
panning flume. We will instead be partnering with Reno Detecting and Prospecting group to put on
metal detecting event.
This event is in conflict with our outing to Sharon’s claim if any member is willing to help at the Explore
the Outdoors event please contact Marlene or Larry. Marlene and Larry will be at this event.

Sunstone Dig and Opal pay-site dig. Desert - Dry
Sunstone dig will occur at the Oregon Sunstone Public Collection Area near Lakeview Oregon.
The Opal dig will occur at Kokopwlli Opals pay to dig site in the Virgin Valley area in Nevada.
If we can get 8 people or more to pre-pay to dig at the opal pay to dig site we get a reduced rate.
If you are going you need to pre-pay by the April meeting. Be advised that Kokopwlli Opal does not
refund money. Price if we get 8 people or more 125.00 per day digging. If we do not get 8 or more
165.00 per day digging was last quote. Open to all even if you do not want to dig for opals.

This event is in conflict with our joint outing with AMRA to one of their claims under our Healing our
Heroes program. If any member is willing to assist the Wild Sheep Foundation at this event teaching kids
