Press Release March 18, 2015 Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Global Symposium on Scientific Breakthroughs Registration of Participants On March 26, JSPS will begin registering participants of the Global Symposium on Scientific Breakthroughs to be held on May 26, 2015. The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science will host this “Global Symposium on Scientific Breakthroughs,” held as a side event of the 4th Annual Meeting of the Global Research Council (GRC) in Tokyo this May. This symposium will address policy issues such as approaches to supporting the kind of basic research that leads to scientific breakthroughs and measures to advance global research networking through presentations and panel discussions by representatives of world-leading research funding agencies, a Nobel laureate and policymakers in Science and Technology.
