FEE
$985.00 for the full program if you register by Friday, May 29th.
After this date, the full tuition fee is $1,160.00 (These fees include
a non-refundable $35.00 processing charge). Early bird fee for one
course is $328, regular fee for one course is $387.
LOCATION
All classes will be held at South Middle School, 349 Lakeville Rd.
TRANSPORTATION
The school district will provide transportation before period 1 and
after period 3 only. Schedule and stops available online.
ELIGIBILITY
Any student whose legal address is within the Great Neck School
District and will be entering grade 6, 7, 8, or 9 in September 2015,
is eligible for the Summer Enrichment Program.
REGISTRATION
Please fill out the enclosed application form and return it by mail.
There is no “in person” registration.
REFUNDS
No refunds will be made after Friday, May 29th. Refunds will not
include the $35.00 processing charge.
FINANCIAL AID
Students will be eligible for financial aid if their household income
meets the Federal Income Guidelines. The financial aid tuition
rate is $580 (half of the full tuition rate) per child. Please call the

Gain the problem-solving skills necessary to succeed in
the rigorous EP Math 6 curriculum (Period 2).
ARCHITECTURE
Learn the fundamentals of residential design. Design a
one-story home to scale. Computer Aided Design
software will enable you to render professional caliber
designs (Period 3).
BEGINNER CHESS
Learn the basics of the timeless game of chess. Players
of any level will learn the rules and strategies to become
a chess master! (Period 3).
NEW FOR 2015!
BULLS, BEARS & DREAMS
How would you invest $100,000? Learn about the
“Bulls” and “Bears” of the stock market. Follow your
personal portfolio daily and learn how to buy, sell and
hold stocks (Period 2).
BUSINESS PROJECT
Create a real life practical business plan for your own
community. Practice roles of actual small businesses
including architecture, CEO, Accounting, Marketing,
Advertising, & Interior Design (Period 1).
CLAYMATION
Make your own animated film from start to finish!
Create stories with clay sculptures that come to life with
iStop and iMovies on the iPad! (Period 2)
COMPUTER ART/GRAPHICS
Dabble in multimedia-based art. Create exciting
art work on the computer (Period 3).
COOL AND DELICIOUS
Prepare refreshing and easy no-bake recipes, focusing
on frozen and refrigerated desserts (Periods 1,2,3).
CREATIVE CRAFTS
Have fun while being inspired by learning new hands-on
craft methods. Learn techniques for papier mache,
weaving, basketry, and basic clothing and jewelry
design and construction. (Period 3).

IN MATH
Examine strategies and methods for solving a variety of
Math Olympiad-type problems (Period 1).
DISCOVER SCULPTURE

Introduction to the advanced Algebra course to help you
be successful in 8th Grade EP (Period 2).

In this introductory course, students will build on their
physics lab skills. They will learn about motion, angles,

Introduction to Earth Science to prepare you for the

FASHION WORKSHOP

FITNESS FOR LIFE!
Practice high energy, active, and fun fitness activities!
Design an individual fitness and nutrition plan using
apps on the iPad (Periods 1,2,3).

Learn the scientific processes and procedures involved
in solving crimes, including fingerprinting, DNA analysis,

LEARN TO CODE
Learn the basics of computer coding using the NAO
Robot and Choregraphe software. We will start with
simple drag-and-drop coding and work our way up to
more complex languages, such as Python, C++ and
JavaScript. No experience necessary! (Period 1)

Design, build, and operate your own mechanical
robot out of legos. Robots will be tested on a

MANGA ANATOMY
Draw and create comics and cartoons in the popular
Japanese Manga style. Practice drawing the human
head and figure, an essential skill for the aspiring
mangaka, with step by step instructions! (Period 1).
MAXIMUM MEMORY
Want to ace all your tests? Learn the secrets to quickly
and permanently remembering information! (Period 2).
MARINE BIOLOGY
Set up and maintain aquariums in this enrichment
science course. Learn about the unique organisms that
live in and near the marine environment. If you have
taken this course previously, there are lots of new and
exciting projects for you too! (Periods 1,3).
MIXED MEDIA DRAWING LAB
Explore creating drawings and paintings using fun
mixed media materials. Topics include animals,
landscape, still life, and portrait using water color,
acrylic, and pastel (Period 2).
PERFECT PAPER PROJECTS!
Make keepsake treasures, all from paper! Techniques
will include embossing, paper quilling, and other
decorative paper crafts! (Period 1).

Learn the basics of TV and media production in a
modern, professional, 3-camera studio. Projects include
game shows, talk shows, music videos, and more!

3D PRINTING
Experience Computer Aided Design from start to finish!
In this course you will use 3D printing to be an
architect, video game developer, product developer, and
artist! (Period 2).
