April 10, 2015 - Green Park Lutheran School

Green Sheet
April 10, 2015 ~ Volume 54 ~ Number 30
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened,
and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
GRADES 3-5 PRESENT - “RESCUE IN THE NIGHT”
Join us this evening at 7:00pm, as our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade classes present,
"Rescue in the Night.” While the musical is filled with memorable melodies and
the script is highly entertaining, it is a light-hearted yet faithful rendition of the
Bible story of Daniel’s courage and obedience to God. As our students portray this
story, our school’s theme “Be Strong” is clearly witnessed in this musical.

PRAYER FOR COLE SISSON & FAMILY
During spring break in March, our 1st grade buddy, Cole Sisson, was diagnosed
with (A.L.L.) Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, cancer of the white blood cells. Cole
was hospitalized and has started a strong chemo-therapy treatment that will
continue throughout the next 3 ½ years. We rejoice that he was able to go home
this week with his family, and we continue to pray for strength and comfort as he
fights this battle. Throughout this last month, Cole has been so very brave and a
real fighter. If you would like to follow Cole’s journey and keep up to date on his
progress, please visit Cole’s Caring Bridge link at
www.caringbridge.org/visit/colesisson. Setting up an account is simple with an
email and password. Watch email and follow the Green Sheet in the next few
weeks; plans are underway for ways our Green Park family can support Cole and
his family.
