Kaba safes lead the market when it comes to security
against break-in. Relastan®, the armouring material
especially developed for this purpose by Kaba, has
proven itself to be absolutely revolutionary in tests at
the product certification centre VdS. It is a substance
that withstands the most state-of-the-art break-in tools
in use today.
• Compact with relatively high volume
Varrit optima safes are in line with current needs as a
result of many years’ experience in safe construction.
Since the safe’s door fully opens (over 180°), drawers,
hanging files and interior compartments can be easily
used. When the safe is closed, the locks bolt on all four
sides, making it impossible to prise the door open.
• All built-in components made of wood
(maple)
With its small external dimensions and considerably
large interior volume, this safe is a true space saving
miracle.

relies on Varrit maxima.
• Compact yet spacious
In order to meet the highest security demands, Kaba
developed a material that could withstand all extraordinary requirements. It is a material that successfully
stands up to today’s wide range of break-in tools. The
result of this development was Relastan®. This new
armouring material has proven itself to be absolutely
revolutionary, even to the product certification centre
VdS.
Thanks to Kaba’s many years of experience as the
leader in safe construction, Varrit safes and vaults
meet today’s requirements and offer a variety of
options and fittings.
Available in a choice of colours, all Varrit maxima
models suit any living or work environment. As a result
of the new lightweight construction, these safes can be
installed practically anywhere.

What is ECB·S ?
The European Certification Board Security. It stands for the international guarantee of quality.
What are VdS certifed safes ?
The Association of Damage Prevention GmbH (VdS-Verband der Schadenverhütung) is an independent, international, accredited and notified testing
and certification body for the protection against fire and burglary. VdS certified safes and vaults are tested according to European norms EN 1143-1
and then classified. As a result, you can be assured of a quality product.
What is WG ?
WG is the abbreviation for Resistance Level Unit . All tools that are used to attack safes are catalogued. The longer a safe can withstand these tools, the higher
the resistance level unit will be with regard to the time unit. The classification begins at '0'.

Security is only effective when it has been tested, approved and certified.
The following point out the most important requirements for a security
product:
Just how the safe is to end up at the planned location is worth some consideration. The lightweight
construction of Relastan®, however, allows you a practically unlimited choice of location. When there
is doubt, our specialists can advise you on what the best location for your safe is.

European norms as the standard
The European norms take into account a threat that has become more
aggressive. In a type test on penetration and forcible opening, all products
must demonstrate a defined minimum resistance value to tools with a
mechanical, thermal, electromechanical and manipulative effect.

Relastan
With Kaba’s own newly developed innovative armouring technology called
Relastan®, weight is lowered and significantly more volume is gained.
Relastan® is made up of various materials joined together to form a component. The hardness of the joined ceramic stones is just slightly below that
of a diamond.
Our experienced transport experts ensure that the safe is discreetly brought to the proper place,
without causing damage or creating risk.
Professional installation
“Nailed and screwed down” just isn’t enough these days. Only safes that are professionally mounted
with heavy-duty anchoring are invulnerable to unauthorised removal. A solid construction and professional installation conditions are prerequisites.
