 Presentation Guidelines for 2015 GSVC Global Finals: April 9 and 10
Thursday, April 9 – Global Finals Round 1 Judging:
Before formal judging begins, all teams are asked to give a 90 second pitch for the all of the
judges.
• One team member may present and must be the graduate student or alumnus
• No slides
Teams will be placed into three judging groups. Teams are asked to deliver a 10 minute
presentation to judges followed by 10 minutes of Q&A by the judges.
• Up to two (2) team members can present
• The graduate student or alumnus must be one of the two presenters
• All team members may participate in the Q&A session
• Final presentation deck is due before 9:00 AM on April 9.
Friday, April 10 – Global Finals Round 2 Judging and Quick Pitch Competition:
Six teams will advance to Round 2 and be eligible for the top prizes. Each of the six Round 2
teams will be asked to deliver a 10 minute presentation to judges, followed by 10 minute of
Q&A from the judges. Entrants will have a chance to submit a revised Final presentation deck by
11:00 AM on April 10.
This session is open to the public and is part of the Conference program. Audience members
will vote on the People’s Choice Award.
First Place Prize: $25,000
Second Place Prize: $15,000
Third Place Prize: $7,500
People’s Choice Award Prize: $1,500
Teams that do not advance to Round 2 of the Global Finals are invited to participate in the
“Quick Pitch” Competition where you will give you 90 second pitch in front of the conference
attendees. Audience members will vote for the Quick Pitch Competition award.
