Dear Runner,
Thank you for entering the 34th Guernsey Easter running festival.
We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful island for a
weekend filled with athletic competition and social events.
We are very pleased once again to have KPMG as our principal
sponsor, supported by R G Falla (Building Contractors). Grateful
thanks also go to the States of Guernsey Culture & Leisure
Department and Fusion Systems Limited. As part of our
celebrations of 34 years of Easter Runs we have put on an end of
festival prize-giving presentation at Saints Bay Hotel in St Martins.
With an excellent menu it will be a great way of wrapping up the
weekend, so please make an effort to come along and join the fun.
Food and liquid refreshments available from 12 noon and will be
followed by our presentation at 2pm.
Sports massage and chiropractic treatment & advice will be
available after races courtesy of the Chiropractic & Massage Clinic,
St Peter Port.
RACE INFORMATION
Your race numbers can be collected along with Tee Shirts and Hoodies (where
inclusive or ordered) at the Registration Evenings, or no later than 30minutes

10K’ and the ‘KPMG Half Marathon’ you will need to keep the same number for
both races.
Registration takes place at Garenne Stand, Footes Lane from 6:00pm on Thursday
26th March & Thursday 2nd April where you can check in, enter relay teams
and collect other information about the festival. You can also collect your event
mementos. Those who have not travelled as part of a team can be allocated into
composite relay teams. Late entries can also be taken. Details of each race are
given below and course maps are available on our website.

welcome you to the 34th KPMG Guernsey Easter Runs.
We are delighted to be associated with this superb
event and look forward to another fantastic weekend

and the hard work and expertise of the Guernsey
Island Amateur Athletics Association (GIAAC)
and its volunteers.
For those who have travelled to Guernsey for the first
time, I hope you enjoy our beautiful island and welcome

SATURDAY 4TH APRIL
KEITH FALLA MEMORIAL | LES AMARREURS, VALE | START 11:00
| 4.75 MILE CROSS COUNTRY RACE – SPONSORED BY RG FALLA
SATURDAY EVENING QUIZ
NIGHT VALE DOUZAINE ROOM
This race starts near Vale Church on L’Ancresse Common (Perry’s Map p6 B4). The
course is a traditional one used regularly by the GIAAC and locally referred to as
the ‘Full Course’. Whilst largely run on grass and firm paths there are sections
of tarmac which make it unsuitable for spikes. If conditions are muddy then
studded shoes are advantageous, otherwise trainers or road racing shoes are
usually adequate. The course is well marked with ‘gates’ and arrows. Runners
are required to pass through the gates.
Our popular quiz night is being held at
6pm. There are prizes for the top (and
bottom) teams and the questions will
be on various subjects for young & old.
The cost is £10 per head, which will
include food (jacket potatoes, salad,
pasta, cakes, etc) and there will be a
bar where drinks can be purchased for
vital rehydration ahead of the crosscountry relay. The evening will also be
used as the last opportunity to sort out
relay teams.
Parking is available in the public car parks near to the beach and limited toilet
facilities are available. The land in front of the Garage is private and it is illegal to
drive or park on the common land itself.

WARNING
No Personal Music Players to be worn in any race.
Risk of disqualification and exclusion from race results.
Whilst it may seem trivial, there is a serious safety issue
as runners are competing on open roads and must be
aware of traffic, instructions from marshals and be aware
of other hazards. It is for your own safety and that of other
runners and road users. Please abide by the rules.
