Guidepost Solutions Promotes Key New York Staff
Addresses the Continued Demand for Monitoring Services
New York, NY – June 8, 2015 – Guidepost Solutions LLC, a global leader in investigations,
compliance and security, announced two key promotions to strengthen its Investigations and
Monitoring practice. Kenneth C. Citarella, a pioneer in computer crime prosecutions, was
promoted to senior managing director bringing a seasoned voice and years of experience to the
position. Jonathan A. Newcomb, who has managed several challenging assignments for
Guidepost Solutions since he joined the firm, was promoted to managing director.

These promotions recognize their exceptional contributions to our clients and our company and
address the continued demand for compliance and monitoring services.”
Citarella joined Guidepost Solutions in 2010 to manage the investigation of fraudulent claims for
the Gulf Coast Claims Facility in its administration of the $20 billion BP compensation fund. He
supervised 300 professionals, including more than 200 field investigators, and his team
investigated nearly 18,000 claims. For the past two years, Citarella has assumed management
responsibility for several significant integrity monitoring assignments. He also spearheads
Guidepost Solutions Computer Forensics practice and plays a major role in its Cyber Protection
practice.
Prior to joining Guidepost Solutions, Citarella had a distinguished 28-year career as a whitecollar and computer crime prosecutor in the Westchester County, New York District Attorney’s
Office, where he concluded his service as Deputy Chief of the Investigations Division. He is a
frequent speaker on computer crime and fraud issues and a former adjunct professor at New
York Law School. Citarella is a Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Information Privacy
Professional. He received a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law; a Master of
Business Administration in information sciences from Pace University and a Bachelor of Science
in business administration from Manhattan College.
As Managing Director in the Guidepost Solutions Investigations and Monitoring practice,
Newcomb manages complex integrity monitoring assignments and major litigation support
matters. He specializes in internal investigations of fraud and embezzlement and has years of
experience conducting due diligence investigations. Since joining Guidepost Solutions in 2012,

Newcomb has played a major management role in many of the company’s integrity monitoring
assignments in the New York area, including major capital construction projects.
Newcomb has a long history in the industry. He held positions of significant responsibility with
Proactive Integrity Associates LLC/LePatner & Associates LLP, UHY Advisors FLVS, Inc.,
Citigate Global Intelligence and Security and Decision Strategies LLC. A licensed private
investigator and Certified Fraud Examiner, Newcomb serves as first vice president of the New
York Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He received a Bachelor of Arts
degree in political science and criminal justice at the University of Richmond.
