Goochland Youth Athletic Association’s Opening Day Event
When: April 18th 8am till 4pm
Where: Hidden Rock Park
Come out and celebrate our communities’ youth in kicking off the softball and baseball season!
During this daylong event there will be baseball and softball games going on all day on all 4
fields. In addition to games here are just a few other exciting activities that will be going on that
day:
There will be representatives on hand from Parks and Rec, YMCA, Goochland Chamber of
Commerce and GYAA to answer any questions surrounding upcoming community events as
well as the ability to sign up!
The Goochland Food Bank will also be on hand promoting, “Hunger Hurts, Goochland Gathers.”
We ask that every family attending our festivities please assist in donating food to the Goochland
Free Clinic and Family Services as they continue to help the over 1800 families in our
community that need assistance daily to provide meals for their family.

Gaming Trailer ($3.00 for 20 min, $10 for all day access pass)
Onsite Custom Goochland Baseball/Softball shirts
Concessions
Raffle prizes ($1.00 per ticket, Over 20 different prizes with some requiring a 5 ticket
minimum due to values over $200)
50/50 Raffle
Pictures with our counties very own, Goochland Bulldog
Pictures with Al Coleman from ESPN Sports Radio

Plus there will be over 15 different exhibitors at this event (still accepting exhibitor applications,
