You will need to pre-heat the hair curler. Rest the hair curler safely on a smooth, flat surface
and plug in. Turn the appliance on and allow to heat for approximately 5 minutes. Use the
heat setting for normal/ easy to curl hair. For hard to curl hair, simply hold the hair curler
barrel in place longer. Use with or without the brush attachment for a different curling style.
Start by sectioning portions of your hair into sections of not more than 1 inch deep and 2
inches wide. Keep the hair strand smooth by brushing or combing through the section while
holding the ends taut with other hand.
Taking one section at a time, place the ends of hair over the barrel with the clamp open.
Close the clamp, making sure that ends extend just beyond the clamp (Grasp the cool safety
tip with the other hand, and it will be easy to roll hair).
Keep the hair section taut as you wind the hair around the hot barrel by turning the handle
with one hand and the cool safety tip with the other. Wind the curl towards the roots of your
and stop approximately 2 inches away from your scalp – avoid touching your scalp with the
hot barrel.
Hold the curling in place for approximately 20 seconds for tight curls or if hair is hard to curl.
Hold for less time if your hair is easy to curl or if you want loose curls or just waves.
When you are ready to release the curl, unwind about half a turn (for longer hair, unwind a bit
more) and push down on the clamp release lever to open the clamp.
Gently withdraw the barrel from the centre of the curl.
Allow the curl to cool and try not to disturb the curl as you proceed styling the remaining of
your hair. For optimum results, once the hair has cooled, spray a light coating of hair spray
over the curl.
When you have finished styling your hair, gently brush or comb hair to achieve the desired
styling effect.
