current economic situation we are keeping our operating budget increase to a bare minimum.
Library facility planning:
Many people do not realize that the library does not own our building. We lease our
current space at 601 Veterans Memorial Highway from a commercial landlord. This
budget proposal includes a Facilities Acquisition Fund line of $75,000. These funds will
be used solely to assist the library in acquiring and building a permanent home to serve
the community.
