All Beninese men and women, organizations and institutions of the Republic Benin
Dear compatriots,
After the May 4 incident and the opposition march of May 6; and in accordance with
the mission assigned to it, in its chapter, by the Assembly of Beninese Abroad in its
articles 1 & 3, paragraph 1 & 2;
the Bureau of the America and Caribbean Chapter of the High Council of the Beninese
Abroad (HCBE-SAC), on behalf of all organizations and associations in particular and
the entire Beninese community in America and the Caribbean, welcomes the liveliness
of our democracy and the climate of peace that has always characterized our nation:
Benin.
HCBE-SAC calls, also, on all stakeholders in the social and political life of our dear
country to favor dialogue and legal means in the settlement of their disputes in order to
preserve the tranquility of our brave people and achievements of our democracy.
In this election, it is crucial to avoid any action that could endanger the electoral
process which highest point is the presidential election in 2016.
We demand that that peace continues to prevail in Benin, that the achievements of our
democracy continue to be protected and sustained at all costs!
Long live the Beninese democracy,
Long live to the Republic of Benin!
