Poetry Party
July 20–23, Monday–Thursday, 9:00 a.m.–12 p.m.
Rising 6th–12th graders
Campers will learn to craft a Concrete Poem, Tanka, Villanelle, Sonnet,
etc… and will have the opportunity to perfect previously written poetry.
Crafting the Perfect Science Fiction Story
July 20–23, Monday–Thursday, 1:00–4:00 p.m.
Rising 6th–12th graders
Campers will study some of the best science fiction short stories, while
mastering helpful literary techniques, resulting in the final fun of crafting
their own exciting stories.
How to Improve Your Writing Skills
August 3–6, Monday–Thursday, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Rising 6th–12th graders
Campers will improve their basic writing and editing skills. Let’s “spice” up
your writing—BAM!
Edgar Allan Poe Creative Fiction/Poetry Camp
August 3–6, Monday through Thursday, 1:00–4:00 p.m.
August 7, Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

n Cost: $100 per camp; $130 for Poe camp plus additional costs for
museum entrance fee, food and spending money

nRegistration: The registration deadline for all camps is Monday, June 1, 2015. Holy Cross Regional Catholic School
reserves the right to cap a camp at a certain number if we are not able to accommodate with staffing.
n Registration Fee: $25 per camp due by Monday June 1, 2015 to be credited toward your camp fee.
nCAMP Fee: The remaining balance must be paid by the first day of the camp in which your child is registered.

Co-ed, K–8th graders
Calling all soccer fans! Spend time with Coach Turille this summer
learning more about the game of soccer. During this four-day camp,
students will improve their skills through individual touches with the
ball, improve their tactical knowledge
of positions, improve their
self-confidence, develop a
positive attitude as well
as demonstrate
sportsmanship.
July 6–10
Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Co-ed, K–8th graders
Campers will learn and practice the basic
fundamentals of basketball, such as ball
handling, passing, shooting and defense.
Students will also learn the importance of
hard work and good sportsmanship.

Volleyball Camp
Baseball Camp
June 29–July 2
Monday–Thursday, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Coed, PreK–rising 12th graders
Campers will be taught all aspects of the
game, including throwing and catching,
hitting, fielding, pitching and base running.
Older campers will be paired with younger
campers for mentoring opportunities.

n What to Bring: Glove, cleats or sneakers and
water bottle. Please arrive with sunscreen and
bug repellent applied.

June 22–26, Monday–Friday
Girls, 6th–8th graders, 3:00–5:00 p.m. Holy Cross students only
This is a basic skills camp open to Holy Cross students to prepare
for the Fall 2015 volleyball season. Those girls selected at tryouts
for the middle school team should attend. Coaches for the summer
session will be Coach Barlotta, Coach Wesley, and Kate Lemley.
June 22–26, Monday–Friday
Girls, 9th–12th graders, 6:00–8:00 p.m. Holy Cross students only
This camp is for rising 9th through 12th graders that attend Holy
Cross. Those girls selected for the varsity team at
tryouts are expected to attend if they are in town.
The purpose of this camp is preparation for the
Fall 2015 season. Coaches for the
sessions will be Coach Barlotta
and Kate Lemley.

n What to Bring: Players should wear knee

His miracles and storytelling. We will have crafts, lots of
singing and dancing, story time and play acting.
