CUTE. IN THAT BARE-KNUCKLES CAGE MATCH KIND OF WAY.
This is the Dodge Caliber SRT4* and it was designed to elicit nothing short of absolute respect from
start to finish. The snout of the Caliber SRT4 features a functional hood scoop that looks capable of
ingesting errant waterfowl or curious vermin at idle. The SRT4 features an all-new front fascia with
integrated brake ducts that cool 1) a performance-enhanced braking system built around unique rotors
and colossal red calipers that sit behind thick, 19-inch cast aluminum wheels. The Electronic Stability
Program (ESP)† and antilock brake system (ABS) work to temper the explosive momentum produced by
2) a heavily beefed, turbocharged and intercooled dual VVT 2.4-liter DOHC World Engine. The Street and
Racing Technology team has increased output to 300 horsepower while cranking out 260 lb-ft of torque.
The SRT customization continues throughout a brilliantly tuned powertrain with a 6-speed manual
transmission, and low-restriction exhaust system. Stability is further amplified by a unique suspension
and 3) a Cessna-sized rear spoiler that complements an SRT-only rear fascia. From the cockpit, racing
influences abound with deeply bolstered (SRT-badge embroidered) seating, a leather-wrapped steering
wheel and shift knob and abundant, performance-related instrumentation. SRT owners are invited to

1. AND IN THIS CORNER … Flanking the bold, crosshair grille,
Caliber features large (it is a Dodge, after all) wraparound headlamps.
Seamlessly stretching from the front grille to the fenders, the assemblies
feature pronounced crystalline-appearance headlamp modules.
2. A GRIPPING CASE. Designed to deliver all the confidence of
a hardened vault hinge, Caliber’s door handles are as inviting as they are
secure. Built to both look and feel substantial (like a meeting-your-futurefather-in-law handshake, but not clammy), they set the stout tone.
The beefed-up pulls are black on SE and SXT, body-color on SRT4 and
body-color with chrome inserts on the R/T.
3. WHEEL ARCHERY. Caliber’s square-shouldered posture is
amplified by sculpted wheel arches that set a stance like a tackle at the
line of scrimmage. These pronounced arches put all on notice, daring
anybody to call Caliber a small car.
4. and in the orange trunks... Caliber’s taillamps continue
the tone (albeit, a red one) that the Herculean headlamps establish.
Big enough to all but melt the paint off cars that pull behind it at stoplights,
the massive lamps work in conjunction with Caliber’s six-light LED (or, as

Welcome to an interior that leaves nothing to spare.
Every Caliber instrument panel contains an electroluminescent gauge cluster that glows ice blue
when lit, illuminating white gauges with black graphics and red pointers. The Caliber interior
also houses (here comes the part you were waiting for) a center stack console with an MP3compatible stereo system. An input jack on the faceplate of the standard Caliber radio will
allow a direct connection of personal music players and the like. The glovebox has more tiers than
a typical wedding cake: with an upper, wide and shallow bin, an available Chill ZoneTM beverage
storage bin in the midsection and a traditional glove box beneath it. Storage cubbies also flank the

1) Never bin better. The available Chill ZoneTM beverage storage bin features a contoured mat to
hold four cans, four 20-oz bottles or any combination of the two. It maintains already-chilled
items at about 45° Fahrenheit. 2) A bright idea. Seriously. This available removable and rechargeable
flashlight is incorporated into the headliner of Caliber’s rear cargo area. Its batteries are recharged
when the flashlight is returned to its cradle. 3) Lighted sockets. There are two electroluminescent
cup holders between Caliber’s front seats that emit a muted blue light when lit. 4) This cradle will
rock. Caliber’s center console features an adjustable armrest that slides forward and flips open
to reveal a rubber-lined MP3 cradle. It was designed to hold MP3 players, cell phones, or PDAs,

1. VEHICLE STRUCTURE/CRUSH ZONES. High-strength,
hot-stamped steel provides Caliber’s structural components and crosscar beams with high levels of impact protection. The combination of
strengthened materials and engineered crush zones — sections of the
core structure that have been designed to divert and dissipate energy
away from occupants — help ensure that Caliber is tough to the core.
2. ALL-wheel-drive. When was the last time you had an

electronically controlled coupling? A first for any Chrysler Group passenger
car, Caliber R/T AWD hits the scene with an electronically controlled allwheel-drive system with variable torque output and an available Electronic
Stability Program (ESP). Without driver input, Caliber’s system seamlessly
transfers power to assist any wheel in need. In doing so, the AWD system
benefits both straight-line traction and cornering stability.
3. ADVANCED MULTISTAGE AIR BAGS.* As standard equipment,
Caliber features multistage driver and front-passenger air bags, with a
front-passenger Occupant Classification System (OCS) for controlled air
bag deployment. Side-curtain air bags are also standard across all trim
levels, extending protection to both rows of Caliber’s outboard passengers.
Front seat-mounted side air bags are optional. All Caliber models also
include a driver’s inflatable knee blocker as standard equipment.
4. AVAILABLE ABS. State-of-the-art electronics allow Caliber’s available
antilock brake system (ABS) to provide faster response times than previous
systems. ABS, which is standard on Caliber R/T and Caliber models
equipped with the CVT2 (available on all models), helps prevent wheel-lock
and maintain directional control when braking on slippery surfaces.
*Always sit properly in the seat with the seat belt fastened. Always observe the passenger air
bag indicator lamp to determine if the OCS classification is appropriate. Children 12 and under
should always be in a backseat correctly using an infant or child restraint system or the seat belt
positioned correctly for the child’s age and weight.
