Export formats for Payments Effective as at April 2015 Page4 of 7 Introducing export formats for payments Introducing export formats for payments Corporate Online allows you to export your payment details in a standard format: Comma Separated Values (CSV) The exported file may then be uploaded into your own system for reconciliation purposes. Before you are able to export payment information, your Corporate Online Administrators will need to assign you access to this feature. This guide has been designed to give you a better understanding of the Comma Separated Values (CSV) export format for payments. Export formats for Payments Effective as at April 2015 Page5 of 7 CSV Export format CSV Export format Comma Separated Values (CSV) is a text file with transaction data fields separated by commas. This format is ideal for importing into Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access. What type of payments can be exported into CSV? Any payment initiated via Corporate Online may be exported in CSV format whether they are in a local or foreign currency. What is the file format? The export file will contain all chosen payments, the fields included are separated by a comma. Debit record All fields will be inverted in quotation marks (“FIELD TEXT”) Field name Description of field and possible values Record type “DR” to indicate a debit value transaction. Debit account name The name of the debit account, ie: ABC COMPANY PL Debit account number The debit account details, ie: 032000123456 Value date In format DDMMCCYY Currency 3 character currency code, ie: AUD – Australian dollars or NZD – New Zealand dollars. Amount The total value of the beneficiary records to be deducted from the debit account as formatted for the currency with leading sign, ie: - and 99999999.99 Description The debit account description. Bank reference 6 numerical ‘Bank reference’ number for the payment. Number The number of beneficiary records for New or Existing beneficiary records or ‘FT’ - for ‘Transfer funds’ and ‘TAX’ - for ‘Tax payment’. Status The status of the payment. Credit (beneficiary) record All fields will be inverted in quotation marks (“FIELD TEXT”) Field name Description of field and possible values Record type “CR” to indicate a credit value transaction Beneficiary name The name of the beneficiary or beneficiary account. Beneficiary account number The beneficiaries account details. Beneficiary country The name of the country where the beneficiary account is held. Amount The amount to be received by the beneficiary as formatted for the currency with leading sign, ie: + and 99999999.99 Description The description of the payment which is passed to the beneficiary. ID 6 numerical character ‘Credit ID’ Payment type Options include: • Funds transfer • Tax payment • Same day • Overnight • Immediate • Same day cleared • International Beneficiary bank details • International payments – Bank name, Bank city and Swift code • Funds Transfers – Westpac Banking Corporation • Tax payments – ‘Reserve bank of Australia’ or ‘Inland revenue bank’ • Domestic payments – Name of beneficiary bank. Amount formats All amounts are to be formatted as per currency codes rules. e.g. A credit of 10.00 AUD would = +10.00 Default file name The default export file name is: PAYMENTS_DD-MM-CCYY_12345678.CSV Where: Field name Description PAYMENTS The type of data being downloaded DD-MM-CCYY Today’s date 12345678 The customer number of the user performing the action.
